It was the Greek people's refusal to pay taxes. The Greeks have never paid taxes, have always refused to do so and the Greek government has always made the mistake of giving them a choice in the matter. Matt Beckley she's not perfect, she does mess up some things but I think that's because she's new at this. There is no course that covers everything you need to be a senator or something. BrainXTC I have, yes. The system is different. One has to work with what resources a country has. Norway is a very high personal income, low unemployment country, plus huge revenues from oil and gas reserves (that's why I do business there). Norway can afford its system as there are very few who leach off the system. Norwegians are resourceful and hardworking and actually pay for the excellent services. It's give and take. Contrary to popular belief the USA is not in the same position plus there are many who are taking but never give. Any successful system requires participation in society and paying their fair share. That doesn't happen in Venezuela, and certainly doesn't happen in the USA. In America too many expect that the state will give them a nice life while they sit on their fat asses eating pizza and watching The View. They feel they're entitled but don't think about where the money will come from or who will pay for it. There are a lot more failed social welfare states. Very few are like Norway. We will see what Norway becomes when the oil and gas runs out.

At PNguyen - Valid comment but Trump has far more achievements in life to verify his suitability for his present position than Cortez.
