They weren’t bothered by anything Serbia was doing in the paint. The 3 point shooting killed is what bothered them. They shot like their life depended on it. Had the Dream Team seen the same they’d of lost by 20. They didn’t have the shooting to keep it close until they turned up. Let it go. Different era. Let’s not think we’re watching the same basketball as far as skill sets. We’re not. Go watch Dream Team against Angola or Cuba & tell me how tough they had it.

@Supreme36074 isn't about how tough they had it, they had an answer for anything this team does. Barely beating South Sudan, a joke. You think they are better than 1992 Croatia? Please

@NBAFactsSelfResearched2 ай бұрын
@@demodiums7216Jokic is one player. Crazy how 1 guy can give them such problems. Embiid is supposed to be just as good. There is no quarter that Serbia would be ahead vs the 1992 Dream Team. All the opposing teams said the same thing, their defense was suffocating. There were no openings anywhere. Drazen Petrovic would have been a top 75 player had he not died. A great shooter. Kukoc and Dino Radja were solid NBA players and Arijan Komazec was a very good player, just didn't play in the NBA. Shot 56% in the Olympics with 3 spg. Not all of these guys played in the NBA because it was physically hard but as soon as the NBA didn't allow defense, here comes the International players. Now, the Euro league is harder to score than the NBA.

I usually like Ephraim's Takes but hearing this old school mentality cant help but make me roll my eyes. There really No reason to be teaching young kids under 6'5" Postup Moves. Its pretty pointless. The handles & shooting theyre learning is actually more useful to them than postplay. Coaches teaching postmoves to 6'0" tall players are really doing themselves a favor more than helping the kid. Postplay is No longer a fixture in todays basketball, Not since the 3ball took over. It is something that can be added on to one's game once they see theyre growing to be over 6'5". Being confident with the ball as a shooter, dribbler, & passer is more important than Postplay. You are better off as a coach teaching them how to confidently Crash the Basket for Rebounds. That literally has more value.

In 2028 Team USA isn't going to have cheat code offensive players like Curry and KD to bail them out. They better up their levels by then.
@benitofranklyn42372 ай бұрын
Absolutely not. This is going to be an easy game again. The only consistent players have been forwards Yabusele, who plays like a young Barkley or Malone, incredible to watch, and to a lesser extend Cordinier. Fournier (G), Lessort (C), Wemby and Rudy all have to show up in top form, otherwise is going to be a blow out for Team USA. France has no other players that showed anything, so if all these guys have the game of their life it's maybe going to be competitive. And Wemby has been absolutely horrible offensively in the quarters and semis, 7pts, 2-10 FG, 0-6 3PT and 11pts, 4-17, FG 1-8 3PT, they are better off if he doesn't shoot at all, and nobody knows if Rudy can even play, his hand is hurt.
