The only consistent players have been forwards Yabusele, who plays like a young Barkley or Malone, incredible to watch and to a lesser extend Cordinier. Wemby had 7pts, 2-10 FG, 0-6 3PT and 11pts, 4-17, FG 1-8 3PT in the quarters and semis, an absolute non factor offensively, they are better off if he doesn't shoot at all. Wemby is not gonna go off. It's Yabusele, Cordinier, Fournier (G) and Lessort (C) who are their only hope.

Something the media won't ask, but just ask yourself if you think 2024 Australia, Germany and Serbia would be able to handle the 1992 Dream Team because the 2024 USA team won tight games, not to mention South Sudan. It would be a bloodbath of epic proportions. I believe a 12 man roster made up of 1992 NBA players would give this 2024 team a great game. Reggie Miller Gary Payton Tim Hardaway Isiah Joe Dumars Dominique Dennis Rodman James Worthy Kevin McHale Larry Johnson Shaq Hakeem (who played for 1996 Olympic Team) That's 9 top 75 players, 1 less than the Dream Team had. There were even more players like Mitch Richmond, Kevin Johnson, Mark Price, Alonzo Mourning, Moses Malone (still giving 15 ppg & 10 rpg at 36 yrs old). Brad Daugherty, Glen Rice, Reggie Lewis, Kevin Willis, Ron Harper (avg'd 18.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg. 5.1 apg, 1.9 spg USA was way more stacked in 1992 than now by a mile

Man listen, you gotta watch out for those NBA players that don’t get much time in the US like Evan Fournier. He wants to stick it to the US bad. He has the ability to catch fire because of the moment. Cournier too. Don’t let those guys get open looks in a game this huge. US can’t keep playing catch up, or it will catch up to them.

Brou needed to actually WATCH SOME OLYMPIC GAMES!😂 Dude is looking at box scores like a casual. He doesn't know 1 thing about international ball. He also didn't take the time to learn that Joel talked about France and his birth country Cameroon having political beef as West Africa gradually kicks out their neo-colonial imperialist former oppressors! That wasn't the case in 2022 when he applied for French citizenship. Situation changed, and Joel said he didn't want to have any stress on his family back home in Cameroon by him playing for his birth country's evil empire. Very legit reason Not to play for France. The US lucked out! He's already talking about 2028 playing for Cameroon. So let's just get this gold in 2024 and count our blessings! Avengers Assemble!💪🏾🏀🔥

This team couldn't handle Serbia in the paint, how would they deal with Ewing, Robinson and Malone? Barkley was a rebound monster. And they had the perimeter defenders to shut down the 3 point shooters. Drexler a very underrated defender, with Pippen, Stockton and Jordan could switch and stop the 3 ball. Even in today's rules in the Olympics, the Dream Team would shut them down and run them off the boards. They had shooters everywhere. Mullin, Bird, Stockton and of course no answer for prime Jordan. He's allowed a "step back" shot too? It would be Dream Team by 25-40 points
@Supreme36074
@Supreme36074 2 ай бұрын
They weren’t bothered by anything Serbia was doing in the paint. The 3 point shooting killed is what bothered them. They shot like their life depended on it. Had the Dream Team seen the same they’d of lost by 20. They didn’t have the shooting to keep it close until they turned up. Let it go. Different era. Let’s not think we’re watching the same basketball as far as skill sets. We’re not. Go watch Dream Team against Angola or Cuba & tell me how tough they had it.

@@demodiums7216Jokic is one player. Crazy how 1 guy can give them such problems. Embiid is supposed to be just as good. There is no quarter that Serbia would be ahead vs the 1992 Dream Team. All the opposing teams said the same thing, their defense was suffocating. There were no openings anywhere. Drazen Petrovic would have been a top 75 player had he not died. A great shooter. Kukoc and Dino Radja were solid NBA players and Arijan Komazec was a very good player, just didn't play in the NBA. Shot 56% in the Olympics with 3 spg. Not all of these guys played in the NBA because it was physically hard but as soon as the NBA didn't allow defense, here comes the International players. Now, the Euro league is harder to score than the NBA.

I usually like Ephraim's Takes but hearing this old school mentality cant help but make me roll my eyes. There really No reason to be teaching young kids under 6'5" Postup Moves. Its pretty pointless. The handles & shooting theyre learning is actually more useful to them than postplay. Coaches teaching postmoves to 6'0" tall players are really doing themselves a favor more than helping the kid. Postplay is No longer a fixture in todays basketball, Not since the 3ball took over. It is something that can be added on to one's game once they see theyre growing to be over 6'5". Being confident with the ball as a shooter, dribbler, & passer is more important than Postplay. You are better off as a coach teaching them how to confidently Crash the Basket for Rebounds. That literally has more value.

Absolutely not. This is going to be an easy game again. The only consistent players have been forwards Yabusele, who plays like a young Barkley or Malone, incredible to watch, and to a lesser extend Cordinier. Fournier (G), Lessort (C), Wemby and Rudy all have to show up in top form, otherwise is going to be a blow out for Team USA. France has no other players that showed anything, so if all these guys have the game of their life it's maybe going to be competitive. And Wemby has been absolutely horrible offensively in the quarters and semis, 7pts, 2-10 FG, 0-6 3PT and 11pts, 4-17, FG 1-8 3PT, they are better off if he doesn't shoot at all, and nobody knows if Rudy can even play, his hand is hurt.
