lol… the best player is not always the player who plays the best. We’re one month into a new season. His 2 best receivers are injured. His starting rb is injured. The LT had to be benched. Last year he had one of the worse receiving corps in football. They led the league in drops. He found a way with that group to win a Super Bowl. He’s elevating the players around him. His stats aren’t telling the whole story. Has he played good football so far this season? Not for the most part… but the issues are related to the challenges listed above. Looking at his numbers in a vacuum is completely unfair. The team is going to trade for a WR. They will fix the protection issues and repair Patrick’s trust with the oline in particular and he will be great… he will be the best player in football. To eliminate the end of the story for last year’s team (SB win) and not give any context to his recent regular season struggles is NASTY work. NASTY.
