To be fair to Baker, he was specifically referring to Tom's last season in Tampa when Tom was going through some personal stuff and the team went 8-9. Baker also had a not so good 2022 so they were all ready for the '23 season. The thing that frustrates and annoys me is that these podcasts never gossip in context, just throw the bad-sounding stuff out there to get clicks. In that same podcast Baker acknowledged that Tom is the GOAT, that he did things his way and had much success. And he has great respect for Tom and his accomplishments. But no, bet Tom never heard anything about that!

Tom and Baker handled the situation fine. Baker shouldn't have said what he said, in the way it was said. Obviously things were stressful when Tom was playing, dude is literally the best player in history. He holds everyone, even the coaching staff to the highest standards. So yes, I'm sure it was very stressful. Stress isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, Baker operates differently than Tom. So naturally, things were less stressful. Tom is right when he says "I thought not having a Superbowl was stressful". So long as Baker and the Bucs win, things will be fine. If the Bucs collapse, all that fun Baker was talking about won't last long.
