@Wong Kar-Chazelle Indefinite means indefinitely, it's until they feel he should come back, IF EVER. Vick missed two seasons, while Jenkins only missed a week. Considering Watson's accusations are far more serious and abundant, we really don't know how long INDEFINITELY will be. That's my point. If they wanted to give him a season suspension, then that's what it would be called, but because they're pushing for an indefinite suspension it stands to reason that they believe he may need more punishment or need more time to wait to make sure nothing else comes out. Because more women can come forward considering how many DMs they've found when they checked his phone and how many "massages" he requested.

DeShaun needs to take the NFL all the way to the Supreme Court if suspended for the season. DeShaun has never been arrested, never charged with a crime and never convicted of a crime. 2 grand juries declined to indict because there was not enough evidence to indicate DeShaun of a crime. Again the law declined to indicate, 2 of them because there was not enough evidence of a crime. This means police investigated the women, interviews, phone records, computer records, video surveillance cameras and found nothing. So what is the NFL suspending DeShaun for? Just a question, (and I swear, I actually do see your point of view, this isn't the angry female saying "how dare you!" lol), but what did you think of his text to Ashley Solis? That's the sticking point I have. I can see why a grand jury wouldn't move on criminal charges, but that doesn't remove the doubt of him doing something inappropriate for his position possibly 66 times, of the 66 only 24 actually had suits filed on him but from what I read some still had issues with his behavior. But as far as that text to Solis, you don't send an apology text to someone then also throw a passive aggressive threat to her if you didn't do anything inappropriate. The remaining 4 are there for a reason, there may be more there than what we are aware of. That's why he is where he is, on top of that just not being very smart. If he'd kept his nose clean, he wouldn't be where he is right now. He handled the whole thing horribly from the start and so did Houston and The Browns. I'm not saying he shouldn't ever play again, and I definitely think the owners who were caught doing things too should have been disciplined too, but ultimately, if you compare what he did to say Kraft, his was pretty bad. I'm not saying people don't lie, men and women lie allllllll the time to save their butts or to profit, but I don't think all the women were lying. I can't judge all of them as one any more than I can judge him for all. If he takes a year off, he can hopefully wrap up the remaining 4 suits. I could see him offering some sort of Kobe type apology where he acknowledges that the remaining 4 truly feel the way they feel without actually admitting guilt. I think the Browns had to know the NFL was going to come down hard on Watson when they traded for him, which is why his deal only pays him $1 million for his first year. And his not being charged criminally is incidental. People get suspended or fired from their jobs all the time for behavior that isn’t a criminal offense-and that is the reality that Watson faces. The NFL believes he violated their personal conduct policy. Whether his contract is a bad contract remains to be seen. If he is suspended for two years, well, that might do it. I don’t think his punishment will be that severe, but we will see.

The job has the right to fire you if you do something detrimental to the employer whether on the job or not. Plus, this is the NFL. Idk if Deshaun will ever play again. Right now, Colin Kaepernick would be more acceptable to NFL fans - particularly women. Even Trump supporting women would accept Kaepernick more than they would Watson, as long as Kaepernick isn’t protesting - which shouldn’t be a condition, but is. Watson will never get another endorsement for the rest of his career. He will never run a camp or be allowed to visit after-school programs or children’s hospitals, etc. No female reporters will ever interview him. He’s done! He should pick another sport, like European football. He should move to the UK and do his thing over there. Maybe he should play basketball in China.

The Browns are the Browns and always will be. They gave away the future with all those draft picks traded for d. Watson, and it will be hard to bring in high price talent via free agency with 25 percent of the salary cap eaten up by 1 player. They won't win this year, and next year they will have to start making hard decisions based on a very tight cap space. Meaning some good players may have to go. Besides, it's the Browns. They could have the best roster by miles, and still brown it up.
