This is incredible Rob! There is so much value in these videos and I think you documenting your business journey will be life changing for us learning along. I'd say, don't be afraid to go into detail, I know you might want to keep the videos relatively short, but in all honesty I could sit and watch you work and talk for hours. You have a great way of teaching and everything you say/do is very practical and implementable. Thanks so much for this series Rob! Good luck to all you fellow web biz guys!!!!

As someone who is very VERY green with HTML, this helped so much. Found a template I love but was looking everywhere for a place to edit it. Thanks great video.

Hey Rob! I am challenging myself to see every video of yours. Started with the oldest videos. Now I'm here. Question, but the answer should be obvious. Do they pay for the hosting and domain? What about template costs?

Rob, who's your hater? 😂 I don't know how anyone can unlike this video. I've learned more from this single video than from a 300-something-page HTML-and-CSS book. This video alone can help you create full-fledged, professionally looking websites (at least if you know how to make small html and css code changes). My mind is already bursting with ideas. And those tricks to create beautiful website sections? My lazy glands are in overdrive for how easy they are to implement. I'm glad that I watched this video because it's the first time I've heard of them. Also, kudos for arranging this website as a sales pitch, Rob. It's amazing to experience it in action. I guess my question for you is, What does "throwing down a sausage at O'Connell Street" mean? 🤣 Kidding. (Or taking a piss or bagging a piss? Say what?) Here are my real questions: - What are the resources that you would use (aside from the html theme) for this website that you cannot get from the gym owner, and where will you get them? - What's your budget for the copywriter and translator? And where do you find them? That's it. I'm really excited for the next video to learn more neat web design tricks. By the way, I thought I was being a royal pain in the ass so I decided to lay low. 😅 Again, thanks for creating these amazing videos, Rob. Happy New Year. 😊

Hey Red Plant, so for your questions: - I am the copywriter on this one, I got someone translating it for free to help out - If I couldn't go to take photos in person I would look at things like: > asking them to take photos > hiring someone local > using stock images online > checking FB and social media for location tags and asking to use those pics and so on Basically get creative and make it work.
@redplant59266 жыл бұрын
@@FoxWebSchool Thanks for answering my questions, Rob. 😊 It would be nice if the business had an active social media account, so you can just take pictures from there. I guess that's one of the challenges in creating websites for physical businesses; especially for a gym, wherein people base decision on facilities, equipment, programs, and whatnot, so you really need good pictures. I just had a crazy idea. Maybe they can have a free 1-hour (or something) exercise video on their website to establish credibility or just to prime people to imagine themselves in the gym. Or, maybe when a client decides to join, he gets a thank-you message/e-mail with a free e-book/article about relevant topics, like diet, foods, workout tips. 🤣 Hey, I'm not away with the fairies. 🤣 Anyway, really excited for the next video, Rob. 😂

Hey love your content. If I may request you, could you please make a video on how to install a template completely on Dashnex pages. There is absolutely no one whose done that yet. I am not coder and everything seems to be really alien to me. I am trying to build a single page sales funnel for one affiliate program I am promoting. I can get any theme template required to do the same. Please 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am having trouble with adding other code from other templates that I like into my main project. are their any videos on how to do successfully do this? You got me all excited when it looked so easy but but now Im having trouble with changing code. I guess it has something to do with the css. please help friend

I watched your previous video on using templates. You also used the Sartre template and I was wondering...do you need to pay for it every time you download it? I recently downloaded the Canvas template so will I need to pay for it each time I build a new website?
@FoxWebSchool6 жыл бұрын
Ya I do. If its a demo video like this (not an actual gig) then I use a previous download but for paying jobs I always get another. I want to try to support these themes produces since that equals better and more theme options for me in the future.

Fox Web School sorry, what I meant was, do you pay to download the Sartre theme every time you use it? Apologies if that’s what you meant.

Great stuff Rob. I am one of the many following your journey and joining in. I've got a few questions for you. How many websites are part of your phase one (i.e the cheap/free websites) ? And how do you get the results (the ones you can show future clients). What I mean is it's one thing to create a great website but its another to actually get sales from it. I know you need killer copy and the like, but I feel like that's only part of picture. Rob do you think you can help us see the full picture concerning this particular part? Again thanks for your great inspiration and sharing your valuable knowledge. Cheers! PS: How do you join the Pro sales group?

Hey Kyle - probably around three. I have been lazy the last week but I am planning on having these done by end of this month (Jan) also. The next few videos should help a lot with what you just asked. I will try cover it specifically since you asked. Also to join just check out Foxwebschool.com, thanks.

Love the series so far, definitely lots of helpful information but I checked out this forest theme site and while the templates and stuff are great you can’t resell the final product with a regular licence.... which is fine for the portfolio stage where your giving your site away but not when you want people to pay. You would then need the extended license which is $800 😬 unless I’ve missed something?

Appreciate the work! why do you prefer HTML templates over WordPress and also curious to know why you are using only one template Sartre for the last 2 years for every single project? Do you use WordPress also and when?
@heychazza6 жыл бұрын
muhammad bilal personally as someone who does develop from scratch, I think it’s just easier and you can go with a more unique feel. Most Wordpress themes are configurable but it’s usually daunting

Hey I have used dozens of themes. I just use this one theme when teaching because they are friends of mine and we have done business together in the past. Sartre sites are less than 10% of the projects I have done. I prefer HTML since its easy to manage and fast to run - most of my websites are static content.

Hey fox. Having a bit of trouble with the themes. I downloaded Sarte and unzipped it. I haven't copied any folders anywhere, just tried to view the current pages inside. I noticed I don't have any php file folders. Also the pages don't load correctly (missing icons like the hamburger button). I'm am on Windows which may be a bit different. However I would expect the underlying folder structure to be the same between both OS's. Reading through some of the documentation it made a mention of having node.js installed on the machine. Is that something that you did prior to get these themes working but didn't show?
