You need to take into account of the manufacturing date of the battery for the total age - not the age of the time when you bought it - as it may be older than you think - Judging by what I see there it looks like maybe 3 to 4 years of age. There will be a sticker somewhere with a {letter - number} like H-6 for instance or H6 / this would be a battery manufactured in August 2016 Indicating 3 years old .... I found that when a battery enters the 8th year the health of it starts to deteriorate.

I got one few days ago but I'm suspecting firmware and hardware issues. First, when on the Main Menu, scroll down to the 5th option, and get the version number of the software. On mine it shows "191-100009C, SW V1.4, 12051925E5, L-TYPE-ESGGD". Like yours, the units for the battery resistance is showing as "MR" instead of "m*" where "*" should be the omega letter for ohms. One the tests are done, the 4th screen shows the charging info, If I go back to the main menu then select the view/print option, when I get to the 4th screen again, the "loaded" voltage is out of wack, showing a value in the 500V range !!! I did the test on 3 different cars, same thing for all of them, the "Charging / Loaded" voltage is messed up if I go to the view/print option. Finally, I'd really appreciate if you could open your unit and check if in fact there is a bluetooth transceiver. In mine, I only seen a white rectangle where the bluetooth chip should be, so the PCB hasn't been populated with the bluetooth therefore even if I would have bought the Foxwell printer, it wouldn't have worked. So if you have few moments to spare, I'd like to know which version you have and if your unit really have the bluetooth chip inside. I've been dealing with a lot of bluetooth related devices, such as speakers, DMMs, etc..., so I know what it looks like and I can clearly see if it is missing. Thanks for your time.

How come I can only find lead-acid battery testers that need you to input a CCA value? There are many, many lead-acids that don't do cranking, thus have no CCA rating. Mobility scooter & leisure batteries are just two examples.

After the battery test, I hit enter and am prompted to start the engine. When the engine starts the unit appears to reset then displays the voltage. None of the subsequent info you get. Ever seen that? The battery tests good.

Ok, retested the battery this morning after letting it sit over night. This time the tester called it bad. Replaced the battery and retested. This time it allowed me to me to perform the cranking and charging tests. I suspect that although the battery sounded like it started the engine pretty well, the voltage actually dropped enough that it shut the meter down and when the voltage rebounded the meter restarted. If anyone knows better, please let us know.

hi chris, thanks for the review... What if the battery does not have the CAA info and all the others needed to input into the BT705 ? also which battery tester will tell you that the battery has a few weeks or few more days before it needs replacement ?

Hello. I could not check the Japanese-made 80D26R battery. The battery is removed from the machine. The inclusion of the Japanese JIS standard did not help. How can I check this?

I'm curious... What did the tester say when you hooked it up and tried testing?

I set the JIS standard, then selected the 80D26R battery marking, the temperature was above 0, and hit enter. It read on the display - wait, I waited 5-7 minutes, saw how the battery voltage decreased, and I turned off the tester. By all parameters of the battery, the tester did not show anything on the JIS , it only discharged the battery. Maybe Japan released this battery for the European market? I have a Mitsubishi car made for the European market.
