I'm very sad as I've just bought the Code reader bu it seem it doesn't conect to OBDII port at mai Mitsubishi L200 Outdoor. I'm in need to see how I can check the used protocols

If my car is cranking but not starting, and I want to confirm that its not something besides the fuel pump; will one of these analyzers work if the engine is just cranking or if just the ignition is on? Thanks for any guidance.
