I genuinely love these designs for the nightmares way way better, no offense Scott but these feel more obscure and nightmarish, rather than sharp big teeth, sort of “over trying” to be scary. It feels like the mind of a child would be filled with teddy bears and stuffed animals, so seeing them all fuzzy and in the design of a stuffed animal is genius.

Alright, another theory. So I think Fredbear is communicating with the others this person (possibly) killed. Nightmare bonnie does not want to kill the person we are viewing through in the video, like he said. Fredbear is obviously out for revenge towards this person, killing his loved ones like he said in the beginning! So Fredbear is commanding the others to attack this person's loved ones, which nightmare bonnie doesn't wanna do. He's just chill like that ig.

It seems as if Bonnie's design was meant to look like his plushies that the crying child keeps in his rooms, but he was being forced to do something he didn't want to do, as if the child himself due to his injuries and experience saw him as a nightmare, so on one side bonnie doesn't want to genuinely hurt him but on the other hand he's being forced to do so because of the child's fear. It could also be seen as Fredbear using the plushies to do his will to "finish what I started," and what he started being the bite, so he uses the bonnie plushie and manipulates it.

I don't think Bonnie is as innocent as some other people below are arguing. The strange scene following Bite Victim's death is in my opinion not some show of remorse by Bonnie, instead, I think it might be meant to show us that these nightmares have some sort of deeper connection with the Bite Victim... Since in that scene, it looked more like Nightmare Bonnie passed out for a moment after killing them... Just my opinion though.

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD DESIGN DUDE. The fact that he absolutely does look like he would be a cute, silly plush toy, but his size and movements make him so weird and threatening. combined with the context, turn him into a genuinely unsettling monster. If you can get the audience to quickly identify something as a _threat_ , anything can be scary, and sometimes the dissonance between appearance and danger make it even freakier.
