Hi Foxy. tinted glass is considered a transparent block and it allows/counts towards surface spawns. for the spiders you could either block their spawns or add magma blocks at the entrance of the trident killer. thanks for the video Foxy

I have a similar trident killer set up. My solution to spiders dancing on top of the pistons was to set a timer to activate and deactivate the disposal system. Every 10 seconds it will cut off for 10 seconds so they fall down into it

Tinted glass does work for surface spawns below it. I know because my drowned farm works with a tinted glass roof (drowned are only surface spawns)

Some magma blocks around the opening to the trident killer should help with the spider problem

I am bookmarking this video as a primo general mob farm tutorial, because it reminds us of all the absolutely boneheaded things we should avoid ever doing! XD I have been *_so_* entertained watching this, and I will definitely keep this in mind against the day I ever have a Windows or dual-boot system again so I can actually _play_ Bedrock!

I'm using an older mob farm in my solo world that already had decent rates. Did that trick with the water over it and I had to add storage. Thanks for the idea .

I would suggest using buttons instead of the fence gates. They will prevent the water flow and give the spiders a pathway.

For those who care, the 2x2 hole model has about 25% more spawnable space than the 3x3 model

Might be a good excuse to build a mob separator to flush just your spiders into a magma column to die? And maybe get the creepers and skeletons separated for a record farm. Sounds like a pain, but would be cool to see done.

Record farms sound like a good idea on paper, until you see chests full of records more than you needed & you can only sell 2 separate items in the ah at once.

Maybe do a ring of magma round the edge of the trident killer drop? Kill off any stragglers

I do a very similar farm and I put magma cubes around the edges to encourage the stubborn spiders to move over the edge to their demise. *** I have a question, I play on my iPad and none of those helpful spawning packs work for me. Could you share the numbers for spawning radius’s? Would be really helpful.

You should try looking into 3x3 trident killers. I know they exist although I haven’t tested any yet but it should help with the spiders of they work

How to make your villagers reload their items on sale once "X' appears..? Because in my PE, once they "X"ed, it's over for the item. Please teach.

Link them to a workstation they can access. If your villagers are not restocking then the workstation you've given them is not the one they're linked to.

@@foxynotail No, I have a 40 villager trading dome with iron farm in middle. I made a villager breeder so I'm sure they're new guys with new owned stations. Iron is good but emeralds is problem for more trading.

​@@ryanmedrina9411 foxy gave you the correct answer. If your villagers are not restocking it is because they are not able to pathfind to their workstations. A common cause for this is zombie villager curing. Even if the trades are locked in, when you cure a zombie villager it will often link to a different workstation than the one you had in front of them.

The top layer counts as surface spawning because water or glass don't count as opaque blocks. The rest is cave spawning because it's below the first layer. Though his setup makes it too bright for mobs to spawn on the top layer during the day. Tinted glass or more layers of water should work.

Can't you just make buttons from Cobblestone? It should look different enough to be visible so you will know if u missed adding any. Or just use wooden buttons so u don't need to waste Blackstone.
