We loved Henri at Villa. Everyone wanted him to do well, it was a shame about his injuries.

Henri Lansbury is a top bloke, has lived the dream life of a footballer without picking up an unmanageable ego, in fact he enjoys the finer things in life like lawn mowing. Top bloke

Henri and Tommy Elphick are the two from that period that were absolutely killed by injuries. He was incredible at Forrest and unfortunately we didn't see the best of him but the ultimate pro, never kicked up a fuss hust got his head down and grafted
@Matthew-bu7fg Жыл бұрын
As a Forest fan, I wouldnt say he was "incredible". He was a decent midfielder and a good asset at championship level but he certainly wouldn't be filed under "incredible" when I look back at midfielders we've had over the years, even pre-Premier League days.

A real shame about all the injuries Henri had during his time at Villa, I was looking forward to watching him when he signed. As for his treatment at the end, I guess its a cut throat business but it strikes me as short sighted, treat people well and you might instil a bit of loyalty from not just them but others.

It was only a Carabao Cup game versus Crewe, but even an injured/out of the first team Lansbury had some vision and creativity! 3 classy assists in a 6-1 win. Respect for his spell down Villa Park and helping us get back to the PL! Johan Lange gone today aswell lol
@MrVeterankeeper Жыл бұрын
He never helped us back to the premier league 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@sebblackmore3697 Жыл бұрын
@@MrVeterankeeper Was he on the bench at Wembley😊😏? Can you have an influence from there? Did he play minutes during the whole campaign? Or even the 10 game winning run to reach the play offs🤣? Did he get a medal? And how much of a role does he play in bringing along other less experienced players during the entire Championship spell? James Bree, Andre Green, Tom Carroll, Tuanzebe, Mings, McGinn, Grealish? Did any of those guys play regularly in the Championship prior to Lansbury signing? Mings had 1 full season with Ipswich, 4 years prior to signing on loan that year. Lansbury's wage at Villa shows his importance and relevance, in a very weak side once relegated. And even in the first year back up, he contributes to the Carabao cup final journey, which again arguably helps to keep us up. Lool basics. Now if you said Micah, i'd agree.

He was so unlucky - he had a perfectly good last minute equalising goal against Palace chalked off because of a terrible decision. Terrible, terrible decision. It would have been amazing for Lansbury.

Different studio different mics. They’re used to those SM7Bs, not these side mics. There’s something about a mic pointing at you that naturally makes you speak straight into it lol…these side capture mics have Ben and the crew bouncing around all over the place.

@@jeffrey.a.hanson surely they do a sound check beforehand? Lol
@dansimpson1729 Жыл бұрын
@andywhalley3669 it seems odd but often not! It's hard to get non-technical people like presenters and guests to want to spent the time on getting the sound etc perfect. Lots assume it's just magic, don't speak closely to the mics, show up late for recordings, and make life hell for a sound tech!

Great interview and flashback to a few good old names. As fans we were gutted Lansbury didn't make it too. You could see he had some talent and was fun to have around. I'm sorry to hear Lange treated him so poorly as well (he has gone to Spurs now...good ridence). Never really liked him, comes across as a bit of a sourpuss with business only on his mind. I will say that the game has a duty of care to the youth and those players who are forced out via injuries etc.
