@@Roy-eu1gq another comparison i would use between them both is will is a 5 guys, rpm is a 3 course michelin star sit down meal. theres nothing wrong with enjoying the 1st one, its quick and easy to digest but its not something you remember for a long time, whereas the other takes a long time to come out, but its worth the wait and you savour it and remember it for ages.

The key to stopping the pitlane parking area is to have cars wait in some safe place where they won't be in anyone's way. Pity the F1 pits don't have nice garages for this. Even better would be smaller qualifying groups. Even IndyCar doesn't put more than a dozen cars on the track in qualifying at once.

It was done some years ago, the problem is track evolution (lesser issue) and potential weather changes (big issue), think how many times this year alone we had a qualy that went dry-wet or wet-dry or even wet-dry-wet within a session.
