Can someone explain to me the idea of 2 framing or 5/6 framing or whatrver it is? Is it just hitting someone off ledge while on stage?
@mightilyoats27293 жыл бұрын
I THINK it's you have that many frames to hit a person. So literally fractions of a second, considering there's 60 frames in a single second in Smash. So if you had 1/30th of a second to hit someone, and you did, that's pretty sick
@ProbablyAnEarthbender3 жыл бұрын
@@mightilyoats2729 That would make sense... But like... Couldn't every move two frame if timed right?
@ZeroUsernamesRemain3 жыл бұрын
When a character grabs a ledge, there are two frames of the animation before they become invulnerable. So "two framing" is hitting them during that tiny window of vulnerability. If a move has a hitbox capable of hitting a character that is hanging on the ledge then that move can two frame them. M2K mentioned five frames in this video because bowsers forward tilt stays active for 5 frames, so even if on frame 1 of bowsers move, they haven't started grabbing the ledge yet, if they start grabbing it anytime while it's still out, they'll be hit by it, which means bowser has quite a big window (relatively) to two frame someone.

I am surprised Leon doesn't have ledge grab downB in his arsenal. I get a ton of KOs off of people in tourney with it. Overtilt is almost always a miss. Edit: He finally used it once when I was watching more. Haha
@benhefel30954 жыл бұрын
the people he is playing don't miss the ledge, so going for down-B is a harder timing than f-tilt, and missing f-tilt still lets you ledge trap... which is way better than high risk low reward options.
@anewsteb4 жыл бұрын
@@benhefel3095 I've been a Bowser main since the beginning of Smash4. It is not about missing the ledge. It can intercept ledge grabs, force someone off of a ledge after they've grabbed it, hit someone who does a jump back on stage, spike someone who does a jump back on stage, and also hit someone who sits on the ledge a frame past invincibility. Don't believe me? I can show you a ton of footage with me against good players consistently KOing them with it. One example was Hungrybox in a 512 player tourney.
@benhefel30954 жыл бұрын
@@anewsteb I played bowser when irl tournaments were still a thing, and a player isn't good if they get by it more than once in their life. At that point you are relying on people never playing a good bowser before. Only exception is using it for 2 frame, which is worse than ftilt so... ledge trumping works sometimes, don't get me wrong, just not very well with bowser down B. Has it worked on any of your states pr?

And while I agree online is a different game, a lot of tech still works in local. And on good players. Everyone always thinks PRs are gods lol. @@anewsteb That is really unfortunate. None of the sets where I live get uploaded. I also haven't entered a tournament online. Fire breath is a good tool but certainly not "definitely broken." If you're taking 60%+ per firebreath like you said you didn't di. So just di and cut the damage you take in half. On top of that, flamebreath has a poop ton of startup and endlag so the bowser using it has to use it wisely or else he's going to get punished with a "definitely broken 60% combo." XD
