FPV pilot here, most of these drones most likely made it out with little to no damage, FPV drones are super tough (I know from personal experience) and they aren’t super hard to repair if they do end up getting damaged.

Your quad seems to be too heavy or to not have enough power. Many crashes could have been avoided with more power.
@JWebbFPV4 жыл бұрын
Nick Frushon you guys are forgetting the time period. These quads are making probably an eighth of the power most quads nowadays. This was likely 2204 motors on 3s. We’re now on 2207 motors and twice the cells at 6s.
@detroxx567844 жыл бұрын
@Bear Foxtrot If you want something prebuilt I'd suggest looking on banggood for one of Diatones kits. But you'll still need video goggles, a remote control, batteries and a charger. There are complete kits out there but they mostly use cheap and trashy hardware. So it depends on you and what you want.
@garlayntoji83894 жыл бұрын
I agree. Stop me if I say bullshit, but according to some tests on a FPV simulator (Liftoff), if your drone is heavy, then use more powerful engines or change the propellers. Or reduce the weight (lighter battery...)

For some reason watching this reminds me of when I was learning to rollerskate. In the beginning I was hurting myself because I couldn't stay upright. Then it all clicked and I could go hours without tumbling, Then I got pretty good at zooming about forward or backwards without falling over at all....... Then I started hurting myself again because I was trying more advanced stuff like playing "Friendly" games of roller hockey and 360 spins off ramps. :) I'm sure FPV quad flying's got a similar progression. First you're crashing all the time because you haven't got the instinct for what to do when things get slightly out of shape, Then it all comes together and you can fly circuits in a field without any problems, Then you get more confident and start doing risky things like buzzing along flat out at a couple foot from the ground, Then you start getting creative with more "Lumpy" areas of the scenery (Forests, Buildings and the like) and flying in a way that produces the sort of onboard footage that makes people draw breath and wince..... And that's the point where you start crashing again. :) At the minute I'm at the "Buzzing about at 50 odd feet and looking around the field" stage and I can go several days worth of flights without even having to replace props, But I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I'll be ducking in my deck chair to try and avoid the low hanging branch I'd just slammed my quad flat out into. LOL ...........As they say, "If you don't go beyond them, How can you know where the limits are". BTW, Real nice flying there mate.
