What's truly impressive to me in comparison to other similar videos is the smoothness of the changes in direction. Often you see a lot of jerky, abrupt changes with RC planes and helicopters. This has a fluidity about it that's really graceful.

Not to knock on him as a pilot but most of his smoothness is hardware achieved(which is a big plus on him as a designer/engineer). He has a very stable multi rotor platform to run off of. He takes the time to balance his props, and motors, as well as tune the software on his control board to be clean and smooth. All that takes a long time, and it is very tedious work. Bravo on him for doing it. It is not that other pilots don't fly as well, they just don't prepare as well.

With a little help from a biker i found my quad after a while, he saw it going down and told where to find it :) Later at home i cheked the video and saw my copter did a smooth landing. Just uploaded it to my channel. I hope someday ill be able to fly as good as you do

No secrets. Plenty of practice, an aggressive throttle curve and a desire not to crash. I use a 3.6mm lens on my CCD camera which helps me see branches etc. Also my old fatshark base goggles have a nice large display (FOV).

I generally have a flight plan. I usually know my area quite well, if not I take time to study it and look for landmarks. I always record my flight from my Ground Station (GS). Mostly though, I try to prevent crashes by doing my best to stay within my machines limits and of course my own. Rebuilding sux =]

I thought bigger than 8' props would show in the camera frame (hero3 wide)? Going to use cheap sunnysky 2212-13' (980kv) only rated for 3s so would rather use 10' props on the 400... I might try 4S anyway so it's good to know the APC's work well ^^. Just can't find freaking graupner 8's anywhere :o. The build will also use submerged ESC's and NAZA from when my Y6 decided to go for a swim (low voltage autoland into a river, lol), so I'm willing to experiment XD. Anyway, great vid and thumbs up :)
@Jonern411 жыл бұрын
Best quad video ive seen :) could you please tell me about the color correction? looks very nice!
@juz7011 жыл бұрын
because they allow me to fly like that ^ seriously though, I use 8's because 1. they generally produce less vibrations than larger props and I find I rarely have to balance them to get clean video 2. they allow for a smaller frame which makes aerobatics and proximity flight more dynamic and exciting 3. 8 inch props = higher kv motors = more stability and response = more fun 4. smaller machine is easier to transport (when hiking etc) 5. 8' props are cheaper =]

I'm PRETTY SURE that you're the best (and most insane) MultiRotor pilot on the planet. Probably the best on all the other planets as well, but I can't confirm that (yet). I wanna see a crash compilation from this video. You have to have turfed it in those trees a few times! Tell me you turfed it a few times so I don't start an unhealthy "idol worship" of JUZ.

Hey Juz what a fantastic video! I look forward to when I get an alert for one of your new vids. Anyway three questions: 1/ what range are you getting out of your fpv equipment 2/ what brand is the vid transmitter and receiver 3/ finally, what version of dance bear is the song, struggling to find that one. Thanks again

Juz nice work man! One thing I've always wondered.. what kind of preventative measures do you have for lost crashes? A GPS OSD or maybe a beeper? Or do you never fly far enough away to create a need for a safeguard?
@rcrotorpro11 жыл бұрын
Juz, are you having to balance those APC props (newer graupner style??) much - for sure butter smooth in that video.

Juz I've read your description but want to make sure. I have The T-motors MS2212-13 KV 980, I've been looking to see if I could run 4 cell and all I have found said 3 cell only. Very cool - I tend to fly high and have used 5.8 as a result but now like low fast proximity flying better. what Video frequency do you use to avoid drops out when going around, under..though trees etc ? Thanks mate !

Hey Juz, this was the most amazing free-flight I have seen so far, Agree with AlexF87O the fluidity is just stunning. Can you recommend a learning curve (maybe with different level copters) to reach that level one day? Thanks for instance, and congratulations. You fly like the figure skaters dance on ice :)
@sundance200511 жыл бұрын
Do you use the Go-pro cameras for your videos, looked like that was what you are using from the shadows? What kind of cost are you looking at for this set up (high power transmitter, virtual pilot setup) not counting the copter and camera? Also what part of AU are you in? Looks a lot like the part of California I am in, Napa wine country. Great videos.
