I bought one 16v 500f aluminium case module back in early 2022 for my hilux, which works like a dream to date. Cranks the engine in no time, no matter how cold it is. Then i bought another same one for my yaris. I think i am not gonna need a new battery for the next decade.

What if you crank the engine for 4-5 seconds and it doesn't start? Will the LiFePO4 melt those tiny cables as the Maxwell supercapacitor pulls 400A-500A to recharge itself, all supplied from the little 25Ah battery via the tiny wires?

The higher the resistance of the wires, the better. Do the math and add the proper resistor for the exact current draw you want from the LFP battery.

I was sick of buying new SLA batteries for my ride on mower every season at around $80 to $90 I even put in a solar charger to keep them topped up that also failed they held the voltage but not enough amps to turn over the motor due to the batteries sulphating or that is what I was told, so I bought a set of these super caps in two rows of three put them in a plastic box with an Anderson 50amp socket and jumper lead and another one on the mower , starts every time I also fitted plugs to both my Cat Back hoe and Inter tractor, start every time first go, both are diesels, leave them connected while working and they fully charge from 14.5v to 16 v in only a couple of seconds. the only thing is if there is a problem with the engine taking several attempts to start you only get two or three goes before the caps need to be recharged, if needed I plug them in to my ute which has a battery monitor for the caravan batteries, so they don't drain the ute batteries and it only takes a few seconds for the caps to get to 14.5v . These caps weigh nothing and hold their charge I have left them for over 9 months, and they were still at 14.5v Just the caps alone in the box with nothing else, no monitors or batteries just the caps for over 5 years now.

Can we connect 2 X 165F module of 48v each in series to get 96v module

Yes is the short answer, as long as your peak voltage does not exceed 96v, best to have a capacitor bank voltage higher than your battery voltage, and it doesn’t matter much if ur cap bank voltage is much higher! It would be nice if they answered some of their post’s/comments.

At 12:50 you said "there is only 3Wh in this capacitor". You forgot to multiply 3Wh by six cells, mate. This 6 inline module you are holding is actually 18Wh (max).

Remember the caps are in series. The caps all share the same current, so they all discharge at the same time.

Why are these so much more expensive in the US? Not much electric drive infrastructure here? Want some for two 48v 200ah and one 12v 100ah lifepo4 banks. Could really boost solar and wind efficiency. And might even regen this boat under sail a little.

A quick question if one capacitor hold 50 amp and i series 18 to get 48 volt the bank would only hold 50 as one cell is that right

Would be great for an e-bike/car with regenerative breaking. Just dump everything into the supercaps and then move it into the battery slowly. At least if not before it is used by accelerationg again.

awsome ! i am currently using a anti-gravity breand battery in my Ferrari F430 spider it costs about 600$ to 900$ depending on amperage is a group 47 and works very well weighs 18 lbs ! the car loves the higher resting voltage of lithium and we like it ! this FPV power seems like a good solution !! what about shipping ? you are in Austrailia ? we are in USA !

Yes it can if the caps are in parralel not series, it also can in series, but only to the 12v battery voltage, so you only get the power output of a single 16v string

But won't the battery in turn supply to the recently discharged capacitor what the capacitor just gave to the inverter? I am not sure if the benefits are there, unless an alternator kicks on like on an engine start application.

What is the self discharge rate?

Leakage is 170mA max. in 72hrs at 25 Celsius when the capaciotr is New. These used modules might leak twice that.
