JackTheWolf 1: start in a simulator, I recommend the drone racing league sim or the drone champions league if drl sim is too expensive for you. I recommend maybe around 10 hours in the sim 2: these things are expensive, research some good starter stuff, I have the Wizard x220 drone, and some decent goggles and transmitter. 3: look up a guide to set up the drone, there should be plenty if you get a wizard like me as the wizard is a popular starter drone 4: Joshua bardwell is good 5: it might be a good idea to get a whoop style drone first because they are nearly indestructible, but I went all in with the wizard and it turned out fine 6: find a nice open field to do your first flight, that way you can get used to the feel of the quad before you fly around a park or trees or whatever because the sim is not 100% accurate 7: when you become a pro, leave some tips for beginners, this is a great hobby and a ton of fun. The more the merrier

I just wanted to leave a comment here in 2024, because I remember seeing this video 9 years ago and I dreamt of FPV ever since... I ended up getting a dji mavic shortly after seeing this because I didn't know any better... and it just wasn't as immersive as I thought it would be.... fast forward to 2022 and I got into FPV in a huge way and I never looked back... so I wanted to come back here and just say THANK YOU!!! it's changed my life and this was the video that started it!

Love the Woodkid track. I discovered them a few months ago on spotify. PS whoever's idea it was to add colored lighting to the back of the FPV racers is a friggin genius. It makes it so much easier to spot your opponents, and it adds a surreal sci fi touch to the races.

It would then have been cool with say little longer tracks and more laps so they would have been forced to made pitstops where they changed battery and such, that would have been cool to watch. +DronePower Not only lag, but higher resolution is harder to transmit over distance, so you're going to lose range as well without adding a larger antenna, more weight, more power drain, etc

This is the video that started it all for most of us. A week after I saw this, I got a blade nano qx, went to micro motor warehouse for 7mm motors and a carbon frame. A few weeks later I rubberbanded an AIO fpv cam from Amazon onto it. Now I have a walk in closet with the walls covered in drones, am doing paid gigs for a landscaper, and fly freestyle every chance I get. Thank you

It is AcroNaze32 Board flying only in gyro modes (acro or manual mode)
