This has helped me. I suffer at the loss of our son because he lives with same sex partner and so they won’t come around any more because we told him we can’t accept this relationship as he wants. We’ve lost our son. The hurt is immense. Prayer and all things available to me and to my disabled husband in the church are our recourse. But the pain is ongoing. The truth costs.

I am so blessed to be able to travel to Latin Mass, and it is so great to see altar boys, no girls! We have an altar full of altar boys, and not only do they have on their altar robe( I forget the name), but white gloves, they are so disciplined, and the older ones mentor the younger. The choir has women and men, and even the young girl, choir members, wear veils. There are no Extraordinary ministers, praise God. The Traditional Mass honors both their men and their women; with each having their own special place, as God intended. Only the priest gives Holy Communion, on the tongue, on your knees. Most of the women are wearing modest dresses, and are veiled, even little girls, and the men and boys are in Sunday dress, many in suits. This is going to the Feast, the Thanksgiving, the Supper of the Lamb!! This is a big parish, which is growing, but only the priest gives Holy Communion. He also, prays the Holy Rosary with us before Mass. I give thanks!

Thank you for this. I have recently been truthful to my son about my beliefs regarding marriage as God intends it. This has caused an estrangement between us. I knew though I had to say the truth. I pray for him everyday and immerse him in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This podcast has strengthened me.

Stay in the one true Church, Joseph, because Jesus loves you. You have a great mission to do for our brothers who are wounded and need to hear about the infinite mercy of Our Lord. May St Joseph and the Blessed Mother lead you to grow closer to Jesus.

The connection you made near the end (1:06) was insightful, I've never heard it put that way and yet profound. Identity issue and priests, bishops & cardinals - in comparison to the abortion issue. As men they can understand/relate more. Thank you both for this discussion.

In particular, we should avoid calling them homosexual, gay, LGBT, because the temptation of a same-sex attraction cannot define a person and we should not contribute to giving them a new pseudo- identity that has not been given by God.

I know some times everything feels kinda lost, and there’s no way this is going straight and arrow. But now is our turn to pray with all of our hearts for our priests, yes is tired some to see that a large number of priests lack of courage, but they need us. They need our prayers, they need our courage to stand with them!!! yes it is hard, but that also would lead us to our sanctity. We need pray for each other. Jesus would never give up on us, how can we give up on HIM, not the priests with lacking of vocation but on CHRIST!!!

38:00 was very interesting. Because Joseph’s statement has two meanings, but one is obvious and the other is more nefarious, but the way he said it was so intelligent. He’s saying that one the hand the heterosexual priests are too scared to mentor the vulnerable young men for fear of being blamed for a sexual abuse when they did nothing wrong. The more nefarious implication is that the only people who would mentor vulnerable young men are people who are predators to begin with, because their desire to satisfy their urge is stronger than their fear of being seen as a predator. In other words, they are hiding it.

Saint Peter warns that because of false shepherds the path of Truth/The Church will be maligned, that is to say that the Church that is Holy is persecuted by the scandal caused by the evil shepherds. 2 Peter 2:2 Even so, many will follow their licentious ways, and because of these teachers the way of truth will be maligned. That is because people tend to identify the scandal of apostate priests with the Church; but, the apostates and heretics do not belong to the Church. And the catechism of St Pius clearly teaches us that the faithful who lives in mortal sin are the dead members. It is they who have abandoned the Church, not we who remain firm and faithful in sound doctrine; faithful to the Natural Law given by God as we defend Catholic moral doctrine. 25 Q. Who are the living members of the Church? A. The living members of the Church are the just, and the just alone, that is, those who are actually in the grace of God. 26 Q. And who are the dead members? A. The dead members of the Church are the faithful in mortal sin. As long as we are clear about this, we will never abandon our Church, but rather we will defend it. Just as a husband does not abandon a wife when he sees her being raped; our duty is to defend our Church from these predators who have infiltrated it.

I don't understand how early alienation by the father figure toward the son, will eventually lead to a sexual attraction for other men? I don't understand what makes that happen.
@lizmcdermott29043 жыл бұрын
The father son relationship is essential and if the father is absent, neglectful, dismissive, distant or abusive of or to the son, the son becomes angry with the father and detaches emotionally from him. But the son has lost a central male relationship and he needs replace it with something else, therefore he becomes vulnerable to advances from older men, say and his need for emotional connection can become sexualised during adolescence. I learned this from a book written by the priest who founded the Courage apostolate who listened to the life stories of many adult men who struggled with homosexual attractions.

I would like to see an honest interview between Joseph Sciambra and Father James Martin. I’m being serious because Joseph has lived this lifestyle and through the grace of GOD come back to the church in a profound way. I think he would challenge and point to the fallacies of James Martin and expose the underlying lies of what he is pushing.
