Thank you Mount St Mary’s for this video! Am in Maryland for the summer and stumbled across the Grotto site, did not know this was a special site in the life of Fr Rother. I spent a period of life in a Guatemalan town near Santiago Atitlán, and my parish of record is the parish adjacent to Fr Rother’s. I crossed the lake from time to time to visit the Atitlán church where Fr Rother worked. His story was a big influence in my deciding to become Catholic. His memory lives on in Guatemala, inspiring many in their lives and vocations. Please also look into carrying Henri Nouwen’s “Love in the Fearful Land” in your store!
