Ang problema, madaldal si father, feeling righteous. Akala nasa panahon pa siya ng mga Kastila na naghari-harian kung saan ang batas ay para sa kanila lamang na mga mananakop. Iba na ang panahon ngayon, may batas na promoprotekta sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino na ipahayag ang kanilang saloobin na hindi kinukutya o inaatake. Kaya nga pinuna ni Rizal ang mga Frayle noon sa kanyang librong Noli mi Tangere kaya sya hinatulan ng kamatayan. Magsilbi sana itong leksyon sa mga paring mapang abuso, mga paring pedophiles, mga paring nanggagahasa at mga paring di makatiis na haluan ng pulitika ang kanilang turong pananampalataya. Hindi na kayo ang (mga paring katoliko) nakatataas na "piling" uri sa panahong ito. This is very problematic indeed. The priest has the freedom of free speech. He shouldn't be sue for something that could have been resolved privately. Honestly, this is just a show of power. This law that prohibits any individual from offending anyone's belief is a big joke in our constitution. It should be removed for contradicting our freedom of speech.

Ang problema, nag leaked yung zoom video at na-publicize. Kaya nag cast sa plaintiff ng dishonor, discredit, contempt in the eyes of the public. Any effort to resolve the issues privately by the defendant is now out of the window. Sa title 13 pumapatak ang offense ni father. Unfortunately for the priest, ignorance of the law is not an excuse. It's a classic case of shooting oneself on the foot. Simply put, he (the priest) got burned.

This is a dangerous precedent on the part of the Church. Vatican did not recognize the apparition of Mary in Lipa since there are doubtful claims like the nun admitted that she lied (see document “Presumed Apparitions of the BVM at the Carmelite Convent in Lipa, Philippines”). Now, Fr. Cabading, as one who studied Theology, is only exercising his duty as the priest to admonish the devotees (including the former Judge Demetriou) about the non-recognition of Church. Lesson: We have our own expertise. The Judge may be expert on legal matters, but please leave religious and spiritual matters to the priest who studied as his profession.

So sad and so unbelievable to sue a priest w/ 'offending religious feeling' that is not from God. Usually it should be the priest who sue w/ 'offending religious feelings' like what happened to Carlos Celdran (whom we thought was going to standby his cause but then fled to Spain and died there, most likely unrepented and no last rites including confession- making one think he most likely did not make it to even purgatory). Exorcist Fr. Winston does look like Voltes V: Legacy (we're all thankful for) director Reyes. :-) I think Fr. FYI. Cultural activist Carlos Celdran (may he rest in peace 🙏) had a similar case as Fr. Cabading. While the priest or theologian voices his opinion with basis from the Vatican archives a week or so ago, Carlos Celdran raised a placard written "DAMASO" in front of priests (who were in an ecumerical service) at Manila Cathedral 13 years ago. So the difference is Fr. Cabading was just doing his job as a priest and theologian educating people, while Celdran was voicing his disgust over the Church's stance against RH bill.
