I am using the Focus G in Petrol Blue because it was on sale for $35 US. I also appreciate that it has optical bays. Temps are good. The front fans are disappointingly weak. I used a front 280mm radiator, as well as top and rear 120mm fans. I replaced the stock fans with Fractal's Prisma series fans, which are considerably better at moving air and have addressable RGB. Cable management was only possible because the Corsair PSU I bought locally had flat black cables I could tape down with electrical tape - and even then, there was barely any clearance to get the back on. Temps overall are really good, and it looks good. The back, white and gray cases probably go with more build themes than the blue or red ones, but overall, I am satisfied.

At first was going to get the mx330 but this case seems to suit me better. SSd mount on the back looks tricky. Also I wonder if 140 up front would help cool it better
@HardwareForGamers2 жыл бұрын
The build quality on the Focus G is also much better than the MX330. The Focus G seems to work best with an equal pressure fan setup, however you might get that to work.

I bought this case specifically for the 5 1/4" drive bays. Bought an aftermarket sliding drawer made for these bays. Keep my USB drives, charging cables, tube of Arctic MX-4, extra screws etc. in it. Never misplace my USB drives any more. Always know where my extra phone charging cable is. Keep receipts and guarantee registration there too. I bought one in Mystic Red full size and the MATX case which only comes in black. Red case seemed fitting for an AMD build ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/4KVdyk

5.25 drive bays are understimated. This case biggest flaw can be fixed with them, the lack of drive bay locations.
@LuisDiaz-qg3eg Жыл бұрын
You can have a 140mm in the bottom as well, I have a P14 in there. Nobody buys a cheap case to mod it heavily but me, and I find that the 5.25" can be used for the hard drive bays (there are cages fitting 1x3.5" + 1x2.5" and they throw in USB as well), so I have the hard drives removed and I would guess the bottom fan would be better at airflow than the front ones with such a heavy foam filter (as I modded it heavily, my front fans are overpowered with 2x Toughfan 140mm)
@SuperNapolitanka4 жыл бұрын
The bottom filter is my biggest nag. Cleaning it means wrestling with the case. Installing power supply with fan facing up would help i guess.. Good video, thanks.

The 120mm bottom fan fits with the drive cage fine if you mount the front 140mm fans outside the frame, which there is plenty of room for. Also there is no need to mount an SSD in the provided space, just velcro it on top of the drive cage.

If possible could you let me know the size of the screws for the glass panel? I lost one of them and all the extra screws so I just put a random screw i found in it for the past year and a half. Its rattles like none other and finally is starting to get on my nerves. Ive found online that its a 6-32 1/4" thumb-screws. Could you let me know if that is correct so i can pick some up.

6-32 is the typical screw size for a case panel

Hello! Can the acrylic window be removed? I don't see anything saying it can or cannot
@HardwareForGamers2 жыл бұрын
not sure why you want to, but yes you can, there are metal tabs holding the acrylic in bend them back and the acrylic should come out... not sure if there's any glue holding it is as well, so It might not be so easy.

Think it would be possible to remove the front black honeycomb panel? I would love to paint it grey to match my surface keyboard and mouse
@HardwareForGamers4 жыл бұрын
The metal mesh can come out, but the plastic honeycomb shape is part of the front panel. So it doesn't all come out as one piece like on the meshify C. you will need to very carefully Bend back all the tabs, on the inside of the front panel, to remove the metal mesh. Then you can paint it.

not a fan of the filter on the front. I prefer just the mesh of the case for better air flow, even if I have to blow out the dust from time to time.

I’m new to building PCs but I have this case and I built one with an ASRock AB350 Pro4 motherboard. But I’d like to add 5 HDDs to the PC, not just 2 that fit in the HDD cage included. Can I just take the cage out and put one that holds 5 in it’s place? It looks like if the current HDD cage (2 slots) was replaced with a larger (5 slots) cage it would interfere with the motherboard due to the increased height. Can I get a tray with 5 slots and move it closer to the front of the case to avoid interfering with the motherboard? Is there any additional considerations such as cooling if I add 5 HDDs? I have an extra fan that I can place in the case but I’m not sure the optimal location to account for 5 HDDs
@HardwareForGamers11 ай бұрын
it's very unlikely that you would be able to buy a "stock" 5 bay cage that would just fit in this case. what ever you buy or what ever you do it would likely need to be customized / modified. which means you would or could do what ever you want.
@riffdex11 ай бұрын
@@HardwareForGamers so I should just get a 5 bay cage and then maybe I we’ll have to drill some new holes in the bottom of the case closer to the front to hold the new cage basically?
@HardwareForGamers11 ай бұрын
@@riffdex for the most part yes.
@riffdex11 ай бұрын
@@HardwareForGamers ok thanks. One more question, if I have 5 storage drives stacked on the right side of the PC case (the front of the PC) where would you recommend adding a fan to keep this stack cool? I’m going to space them out for the most efficient heat distribution it’ll be 4TB 3.5” HDD 7200 1 TB 2.5” SSD SATA 1 TB 3.5” HDD 7200 4 TB 2.5” HDD 5400 3 TB 3.5” HDD 7200 I designated this layout because I thought keeping the 3.5” HDDs spaced apart would be better
@HardwareForGamers11 ай бұрын
@@riffdex HDD's don't really get hot. it's more so they block airflow. Now depending on your GPU, I would be more concerned about making sure it gets enough fresh air.

All other reviews I've seen on this case always show that the side panels just fall off when screws are removed. Has this not been the case for you?

Never really thought about it, but I'm typically pretty careful when taking off the panels so maybe but... Not really sure.

Hay dude not sure if you read comments much but I'd suggest removing background noises and adding a little bit of bass and some low pass filters to your audio. it's very simple with an app like audacity just downloaded the app and look up a tutorial. Your videos have potential for something greater, I'd suggest starting with the audio. You obviously know your way around computers so a program like audacity wouldn't be a challenge
