Thanks so much for demonstrating how to install the motherboard with this huge CPU cooler. I felt so awkward getting that top left screw in on the motherboard in my build, but I guess it's not just me struggling with this. 😅 In my opinion it's both be quiet and Fractal Design making it hard to install; the heatsink is so large it blocks a straight angle at the screw hole (despite motherboard compatibility on be quiet site says 100%) and Fractal Design could have allowed for a removable (or even partially open) PSU air shroud to get in there with a screwdriver.

a quick question if you don't mind, this is a build where you don't need custom length psu cables? or is that because it is not seen as a SFF case? thinking this route for a future upgrade while reusing parts from the upraded rig. i am still on the am4 platform. shifting the 3800x through for the 58 or 57 x3D.

Depending on your CPU cooler, you should install it at the end to leave more room to connect all your cables. Obviously, you couldn't do that with this particular cooler due to the center fan, as you've pointed out.

Thank you for such a detailed step by step ... going to start a build with the nano rgb in a week or so ... what was the rgb controller you ended up using or a recommendation for something simple - want to avoid aura sync if possible .. although it may be improved now .. love watching your builds ;)

This is an awesome case, but I can’t help but think they screwed up by not making it one expansion slot taller and making it an MATX case. It’s already so big for ITX, and MATX mobos are so much cheaper. This would have definitely been my upgrade path when I build a new PC for AM5 in the future when the platform cost comes way down, but as it is, I can’t see why I would want this over an NR200 in rear/bottom intake, top exhaust configuration. ATX PSU seems to be the only advantage.

I have an AMD motherboard, not Intel. I've tried both the BeQuiet! that you're using and a Noctua NH-D15S and they both rub up against the PSU attic and don't let me get anywhere close to aligning the mobo with the case's mounting holes... I'm not sure if I should try an AIO or some other really small air cooler.

I had the same problem with my D15S. The solution was to turn the cooler by 180 degrees. Because one side of the cooler is little bit longer.

The total lack of clearance between the GPU and bottom intake fans, even the slim variation, bothers me. It's like FD doesn't you to install powerful GPU in this case, or expect you to cool the GPU with just the giant fan up front. Nope.
