Sometimes Fractured Fairy Tales makes up a fairytale to adapt. It may surprise you to learn this was NOT one such example. This story is legit.

I remember reading this one around fourth or fifth grade in the Andrew Lang's Blue Fairy Book I took out of the school library and realized "Wait a second! I know this one from Fractured Fairy Tales." Same goes for the Prince Darling episode.
