Video suggestion: Make a series about how to frag specific corals like a short video every friday. You can make a video of every coral type that you can frag. You can even make some videos of corals that might be fragable like scolly's or wall hammers. Call the series "Frag Friday". Happy birthday Tia🎉

I’ve got a 5 gallon with Kessil A80 light I’m getting ready to setup with zoas top to bottom, with a canister. I don’t plan on fish. Very little waste = low nitrate introduction. If I change 50% weekly I’ll be good. I did it before FWIW.
@cannibalholiday8 ай бұрын
@@FrankPicone1 If I get another small tank in the future it will be pretty much the same. No fishies, zoa garden. Maybe a bunch of inverts.

@fragboxcorals I think cannibalholiday is on to something, 6 months ago i search and searched for information on this, there is so little out there, my 75 Gal canister aquarium just crashed and I lost 50% of all my corals 😢
@cannibalholiday8 ай бұрын
@@wayner_off_the_hook Ouch. That must have hurt :( When I was first starting out I had a heater get stuck on (before I bought an inkbird) and it killed half my corals overnight.

I’d love a video series expanding on the BRS biome series specifically focusing on nano tanks maybe with the Reef Casa line. Somewhat of an experimental series for the best way to cycle and start a nano tank!

Hey video I would love to see is an in-depth tour of all of your Neptune systems lighting schedules how you plumbed all the tanks I just think you’d be cool to see how you set all that up. Also, you guys are one of my big inspirations to keep going in this hobby.

A great idea would be a video on what early signs to look for of things before they go wrong. We hear a lot of places about everything you need to do that’s right, but not necessarily what to look for in case for any number of reasons you miss the mark and some things are not so happy. Bleaching, poor polyp extension, loses of flesh, indications of pest issues, and a number of things may happen and guiding newer reefers through these issues could really benefit the community.

March your videos like this are my favorite. they are very informative and keep my attention. I gots the adhd and fragbox has my most hours watched on youtube for sure. If i were to want to see any video series i would do a subscriber series where people can show off their tanks to the frag box fam. also maybe a rescue video series where you go to local subscribers homes and give them advice and before and after vids. Or bring a sub to work day LMAO thanks as always march.

Video suggestion 😊 I’m a new reefer (8 months in, and addicted!) how about a video showing how to combat different types of algae issues, GHA, bubble, dinos. I know there’s a lot of video but information is usually conflicting! All your tanks look beautiful and so well looked after - I’d love to see your tips and tricks for beating all the pesky algae issues we all inevitably face! 🥲 I’d also love a start to finish series on setting up your new reef casa tanks and all the things you can do with them, aquascaping as the shapes are so fun and quirky! I have my eyes set on a reef casa tank already and visited advanced aquarium consultancy over the weekend to look at them in person! but my partner says we can’t afford a second tank 😂 was worth a try!

Happy to see the Fragoon moving ahead and the Indonesia trip vid was awesome. my video idea is tutorials on how to do tank husbandry… I’m a very anal guy with my fresh water tank already and know when I make the change, I’m going to be going hard. I need to know how the pros do it and you’ve got some huge, mid and small tanks to show me with. Thank you, ironically from Clearwate, FL 😂

Video suggestion: I’d like to see an extended band saw fragging session - maybe different techniques including using bone cutters and dremel - if you do that sort of thing. I personally love the longer format and I think it’s interesting to hear your rambles as it helps give us background on you, your store and so on. I’m in the Uk and visit Paul and Co at AAC occasionally and I have seen the Reef Casa in store. I hope the giveaway is including the UK but if not just redraw. Love your videos March keep it up! 😊

One thing I've never see in video format is a compendium on Acropora species and how to blend them in aquscapes-- relative heights, growth styles, and how different species can be blended for long-term success based on complimentary growth types. Given many times you buy tiny frags and have to wait a few years to see how they grow, it would be helpful to have more a priori information. Seeing the colonies you get in is much more helpful than photos of tiny frags. The 'fragoon' would be ideal to illustrate options and blends.

Suggestion for the Fragoon mounting. You could glue big frag plugs on the bottom of the bigger colonies and either drill some wholes in the rocks or make a mount/support foot out of epoxy that can stay glued to the rock. Scatter 50,60 of these mounting/support feet around the tank or drill wholes. If you just use frag plugs of the same size for all the colonies you can swap them in and around the tank and they can stay flush despite flow and inverts.

Video sudgestion: the first year of a reef tank, what problems you may encounter and how to deal with them. Not to panic and make too many drastic changes. How to tell if a coral is dying and to toss it before it fouls your tank. Dealing with the ugly stage, bacteria blooms, pests and how to deal with them.

Another idea is to have an underwater live feed on your display tank going 24/7 on the channel. But when the lights are off you can have old videos playing instead.
@MrMelville1008 ай бұрын
Oh by the way you were asking for ideas on how to place your acro colonies in your new display. It looked like they are semi standard size bases. You could cast some cups (you would have to learn how from your departed Alejandro or get one of your staff to learn). The cups would have to be permanent fixtures but at least you could move the acros around and you could label them with numbers for pricing on a board say? I can’t think how else you could do it apart from the same idea but for frag logs once fragged and mounted. Good luck! 🍀

Video suggestion: i really enjoy this style format a little bit longer and you just rambling to the camera. I think that learning more about how you run the the store and what it takes to run a store is interesting ( to me atleast lol) the wife and i have recently started our saltwater venture about 7 months ago and just recently got our first corals and I've really enjoyed your channel. I have definitely fallen down a rabbit hole with watching your old videos on how to frag all different types of coral and different coral care tips and all the evo videos as our first saltwater tank (technically her tank) is the 13.5 EVO and i recently mentioned the other day i wanted my own nano 😅

Since Reef Casa is nano style aquariums, I think a more specific third party build including setup in rear chamber, products to add for best results, ie UV, media basket and media, ATO, lights, monitor systems etc. There is no video professionally done on what to expect. I have invested around 4k so far on my vila 24 and love it. Your videos lead me to your store and product. I have learned a ton from talking to you and your staff. A video tutorial from start to finish would be A-MAS-ING!!!
