Mine will occasionally slough off a piece of itself. I then glue it to a frag plug. I have 3 "satellite" pieces of the mother spread about my tank.

I can't bring myself to cut my corals. I have this toadstool so large its growing out the tank, but I can't do it.

It's not that bad, it cuts really easily, just need to have sharp knife. There is a pretty good demand for the frags, you can sell them to fund your tank supplies.

Hey there saw your video on fragging I have a toadstool that I had in a tank that was infested with glass anemones and its attached to a rock is there a way to remove the base and all or am I better off just fragging it I'm trying to save it I already emptied the tank have it in a little frag tank with some live rock thanks

I would try fragging it to try to save it. Dip the frags in iodine dip to prevent any infections

@@fragensteinreef2161 thanks for getting back man although I've been keeping saltwater fish tanks for a long time this was my first toadstool so not too familiar with them I actually pulled it from the rock very gently I've had it for over a year so I didn't think it would move but surprisingly it did with almost no effort that being said gunna keep a close eye thanks again ill keep u posted

@@orphekreeferreef9587 yes you do have to be careful pulling off a rock because if the foot gets torn it might get an infection. Good job and good luck.

That doesn't hurt the coral at all, however, looking at coral afterwards does. But it will grow back bigger and better.
