I have Le Male On Board for about a month now and even wore it today. I don't have performance issues and get at least up to 8-12 hours on skin and get a breeze of it all day when I move around, sillage and projection is definitely intense and strong for some hours 🙂 when I apply it in the morning, 10 hours later I still can wash off remains of it off my skin. The official key notes are Bergamot, Geranium, Violet leaf, Tonkabean and Amber, personally I also suspect Kardamom because of the spice, which would make sense being a Le Male flanker. Le Male on Board opens up aquatic, fruity, spicy and sweet being reminded on Le Male Terrible from 2011 which also had a fruity spicy opening with the Grapefruit and Pink Pepper upon the Le Male DNA. And indeed, it is very refinded and smooth which overall reminds me on Le Male Le Parfum just a much fresher, fruity and aquatic variant of it. Most of you will smell similarity to Le Beau and Le Male Aviator because they have the same key notes, Bergamot, Violet leaf and Tonkabean, sometimes I even think it has a slight hint in the late dry down towards Invictus and Rasasi Hawas. Le Male On Board is this summer's themed limited edition and is the replacement for Aviator, which is discountinued and removed from the JPG website. It's really nice the opening to mid dry down is really addicting and seductive with that floral, sweet and spicy notes but I still wished they bring back Le Male Terrible back.

I get wafts of it 5-6 hours into the fragrance. and the tonka stays for more than that. I find it lovely, it is a smoother aviator for warm weather.

Sounds like we’re going to stay firmly on dry land with this one. I think there is so much still to investigate with the previous flankers, just picked up Fleur du Mâle which is creatively very interesting.

I had Le Male On Board and it was pretty loud I would say. I really like Le Male Le Parfum and Ultramale , but this one I was feeling just was not my style. It came sweet to me , but felt like a honey sugary kind of sweet. I had this constant feeling of bees coming at me because it was that kind of sweetness. And I love sweet scents. So I sold this after a year of struggling to sell it.

I have to add to my previous comment there I reviewed Le Male On Board, you mentioned Le Beau Male and in my opinion it is superb for really hot summer days. Le Male Beau to me smells like a clean fresh spa, the scent is an icey arctic cold cocktail with a masculine touch from a oceanic men's shower gel. Imagine you're having a pool party in the summer or winter having a good time in your jacuzzi at night, this is what it smells like and the vibes you get. Its refreshing like ice or a mojito yet hot. It always takes me to when I'm in ski resort with my girlfriend going to the whirlpool looking over the snowy mountains or taking a steaming hot shower in a hotel having a good time.

This is the reason reviewers should spend their own money on the fragrances they review. (Cough... clone review shills...) It's easy to overlook the negatives when you've been gifted a bottle, but when it's from your own pocket things are different. Good job Chris, thanks for the honesty.

i don't know. all the reviewers are crazy about perfomance and projection. I really don't understand this thing. You like the scent, it's good, it's a summer scent... are you expecting a bomb? Summer scents should not be bombs. It's intoxicating. I really like your impressions about the smell. But this competition of perfomance is really a bad thing.

It's one man's opinion, and besides, do you trust "all the reviewers"? I don't. Reading between the lines, I think Chris was tactfully expressing his disappointment, which is a fair first impression. What he's saying is that it's not a terrible fragrance, just very meh.

@@david-2 I trust the review. That’s why I see it. It does not mean I blind buy based on reviews. When I say all reviewed it’s obvious I’m talking about the ones I see. Nobody in the world knows what ALL the reviewers think. To me it doesn’t change my opinion that this reviews gives more emphasis on performance and projection than the smell of the fragrance.

Aviator is a very good fragrance don’t know why he keep trashing it. Only because it doesn’t smell like le male??? And it’s not niche like. To me the original le male is boring and forgettable always has been in my opinion. Ultra male, Aviator, Essence de parfum Le beau, le parfum are all good and the only one that reminds you of the original is le parfum. Why would you want every flanker to smell like the original wouldnt that be redundant and a money grab??
