My aunt wore White Musk when I was a young girl and it is a STRONG scent memory for me. Always made me feel so loved and safe when I smelled it, along with my mom’s Chanel No. 5. I used to sneak sprays of my aunt’s White Musk when I would visit her since she kept it on her dresser and my cousin and I would play in her bedroom often.

I completely agree with you. I would probably choose projection over longevity as well. I wanna be able to live inside my own scent bubble as I walk around without having to bring my arm up to my nose😋

No one ever talked about Oud when I was working behind the counter in the 80's and 90's. It's so odd that none of the fragrance companies ever mentioned it once! I have not done any research as to why this is true but I suspect it's because a lot of animalic materials were banned from use since the 80's and 90's so Oud being a woody material has been picking up where they left off? I know it was in some of them but I never once heard of the note back then. I'm just guessing as to why?. This was an awesome video! You are so knowledgeable about so many different fragrances Tammy! That big bottle of Santal blush is so gorgous 🤩but yea a few lifetimes for sure LOL Gris dior was the perfume that changed how I felt about patchouli and oakmoss 😮I love it so much Longevity means nothing to me and I love topping it up over and over again I have no capacity to retain names of perfumers It’s funny you got comfort from wearing a perfume when you were in pain and I am the total opposite and can’t stand it This was so fun to watch Love you ❤❤❤❤

It really is a beautiful bottle! I’ll never run out, that’s for sure! 😆 Gris Dior, yes! Oh yay it’s not just me with longevity.. well if you can’t smell it projecting up to you, there’s not much point to it! 😂😂 I think the perfume helped me because I wasn’t in pain as long as I didn’t try to walk! I had no pain while just sitting.. but I was so sad over missing the graduation so I think that’s why it helped.. but yes if I was hurting I wouldn’t want perfume on!! 🥹🫶🏼✨ I hope you keep on feeling better and better sweet Frances!! 💞🙏

So beautiful… I have compared it side-by-side with quite a few rose fragrances, but to be honest Roses Vanille is the closest match I have found, they are quite similar I’d say! RV is just a little more sharp in the opening and Peregrina is slightly smoother to me. But they’re very close in my opinion! 🥰

The Santal Blush made me laugh. 😂 if it is discontinued you will be rich! Some of these questions are hard. Projection or longevity...idk its 50/50 for me. I think we all smelled like White Musk in the 90s. 😅

I have recently made a concerted effort to buy 30mls as they're easier to carry, but tbh the grey market sites / retailers suck you into the 100ml because they're often cheaper than the smaller bottles. 😢 My biggest bottle is a 200 ml of Reminensce's Patchouli, a lovely chocolately bomb

30ml is a really good size! I just purchased a 30ml of Fenty bc my travel size is low, and I’ll probably never need to repurchase ☺️ Mmm that one sounds nice actually, I like chocolatey types of patchouli! My decanter is 250ml, so that’s close in size!!

Yep, oud is made out to be something scary for sure... I had exactly the same thing! It's ridiculous, there are so many different types of oud and honestly because most of the time it's an accord and has absolutely nothing to do with oud anyway, do most of us even know what any oud smells like? Unless we are spending hundreds and hundreds we probably don't 😂 I get it with Santal Blush. I wanted the old Lilac Love bottle, also cos of the formulation thing, but still. And yep, I've bought some huge bottles when I don't need them.

Is that Nina Ricci (Rose) close to Oud Satin Mood?

Well, they are often said to smell alike, especially since they’re both made by the same perfumer, and yes they’re definitely in the same category… But to me OSM is darker, richer and more resinous, whereas L’Extase RA is more focused on the rose🌹and pepper, with a bit less vanilla ☺️ That’s my take on it anyhow! 😁
