'Diabetic scents' kills it ! 😅😅😅. Me too I'm not into those sweet and loud scents at all! They give me horrible headaches. I can't imagine myself wearing them not even smelling them on someone around! Forgot to mention that I'm a woman looking for the right scents not to go wrong again after some huge blind buys fails! Thanks for this very inspiring video because the notes you mentioned are my faves!

While my favourites are not here (cos they're sweet-gourmand-woody 😩), this has been an interesting list. Other than The One and Narciso for Her, I've not seen the rest covered by other reviewers. Also, thanks for not being snobbish towards designer frags... in my part of the world, it's not so easy to get niche stuff and especially their samples.

@BurgundyandBlue11115 жыл бұрын
You picked such an appropriate background for this listing. I think the women look very soft, ethereal and clean. I imagine that they would be drawn to a lot of the fragrances you listed. :) The one that interests me most (that I have not yet smelled) from your list is Bvlgari Aqua Divina. It is going on my try it list. I really like Jean Paul Gaultier Classique *Essence* de Parfum. It didn't move me the first time I smelled it, but it quickly grew on me the second time I got my nose on it.

I don't like too sweet or girly in a woman's fragrance - I was impressed with the quality and sophistication of Tous for Women, and the stronger aniseed/coffee-like notes in Sofia Vergara Love. I also like the original Sofia Vergara, and Narciso Rodriguez For Her (as you mentioned).

What a sweeeeet backdrop Peter. A great thumbnail too. Personally, I've always liked Coco Noir, Jasmin Noir L'Essence, D&G pour femme intense, NR for her, SJP's Stash and quite a few from Mugler's Alien line. But yeah...darker bottles with darker juice for sure. As for notes, anything dark or gourmand just melts my butter - vanilla, chocolate, booze, incense, amber, cherries, iris, maybe with a touch of jammy rose or oud is a YES. Bright citruses, florals or musks are just not my thang. Definitely agree that there are some great designer options for women!

I love your choices. My favourites from your list are Dior HP and Narciso Rodriguez. Classique might have been reformulated, because I remember being an opulent, huge, beast-mode floral fragrance 10, 15 years ago. I also love womanity and love by Chloe but they are discountinued. I wear La Colle Noire as a niche version of Blooming Bouquet, but the latter is good enough! 🙂

So I know that it lacks the sex appeal that a perfume that costs the price of a months worth of groceries (bought at Whole Foods even) might have, but there’s something to be said for perfume that is made for the masses and if any low priced perfume is actually any good. Reading some of the comments across various perfume videos (and various creators), there’s definitely a snob appeal that people revel in when it comes to high priced perfume but it would be interesting to find out if there is any “bargain brands” and mass produced celebrity perfumes that are any good.

i like a lot Coco mademoiselle. i love chanel, the story of the woman Chanel herself, and i think chanel makes perfect fragrances, even if one doesnt like this or that one, but i mean in quality of the fragrance they are perfect and i would say they used to be for a designer house a more niche aproach of fragrances, such as number 5, that most or love it or hate. i personally love it and is not ah because is chanel, no, because i love the female sense of woman of the number 5, as if put together different arcquetypes of woman in one same bouquet, and chanel grew up in brothels, so when ernest beaux made some options of fragrances for her and she chosed number 5, was because it evoked thatsort of courtesans whores smells, that has this feeling of powdery that resembles make-up smell and like Chanel said, a smell of a real woman. and i normally wear the toilette version of the number 5, where the soupy of the ylang ylang and the jasmine, which is my favourite note for life, i love jasmine, with the vibe of sandal wood and amber, i love amber, and than sometimes the smell of rose pop-up, so pink in te middle of the sparky golden vibration of te bouquet itself, and as iris, another note i simply love so much. i used to wear from chanel the Chance, and was about 3 years ago that meet again the number 5 with lets say a different nose, i think a better nose, that before i was not grown up enough to appreciate and i dont agree when people reduce such a pretty as you would say using pretty, such a pretty fragrance that is for me, as old lady smells. the old lady were young one day and most of them started to used chanel 5 when they were young and kept wearing it you know. ans a good smell will be alwways a good smell. and i like to appreciate fragrances also beyond my personal liking, but thinking about it as a creation that envolves atmospheres, so i can recognized the goodness of one fragrance even if me personally dont like it. but to me to like it, the fragrance needs to bring me to intimate places in myself, as some sort of trip within myself, and i dont care if would be a fragrance that would receive this or thhat compliments. and i also believe that wen someone feels like one fragrances, others perceive also differently, as if the persons energy combines with the fragrances becoming a bouquet together. on me number 5 works very well. the number 22 is also cool. i guess last decades they are becoming more approachable with more design such as Chance and Coco Mademoiselle, but my favourites are the more niche one, such as the exclusivs line and even number 5 by how it smells, can be consider more niche. and i there is so many women that agree with me that is not old lady smell at all, in this pejorative way you know. personally . i love to research about perfumary, but i dont keep much fragrances with me, i like to keep some just and go finding what i think would be my smells for life.
