Hi, thank you for an amazing review. I agree with you 100%, the openning is breath taking, but in an hour time (on my skin) it looses that wow factor and becomes plain woodsy slightly spicey, and in 3 hours it fades completely. This kind of fragrances are very traditional in the Arabian Culture (Arabian Gulf) and I have always smelled this scent profile on (only) men in my family, so to me this is masculine ...but everyone can wear what they like.

I love this one. It is one of my fave "oud" frags. I also adore Levantium. Some of my faves are Violetta, Ostara, Bluebell, LP No. 9. All unique, strong and long-lasting.

Thanks for this review. I found the oud in it too much even in the beginning so it's good to know that the dry down was nothing to get excited about either so I didn't waste a lot of money on such an expensive bottle. Keep up the great reviews!

A man i bought as sawira based on a tiny glass sample. Love it but i never hear much about it in the frag community

Wendy Kingsmith I think it's because it's relatively new... And also because I think a lot of people don't like saffron... It's like parfums de marly everyone seems to like herod and I think I'm part of the few ones who prefer Nisean lol.. I think you need to have real class to wear saffron.. When I wear it I know I smell like I wear a very expensive perfume...

Found as sawira at Walmart online for like 80!!!! A man interesting. I will have to figure out which note is the saffron. I do prefer the more unisex warm, incense, smoky fragrances. And whoa, $80 at Walmart. I think they sell it for close to $200 at most places. Deal. 😄

This was waaayyy too woody for me...it basically went all cedar on me (which woody fragrances with cedar tend to do on me)...I did like the opening, but only for a moment. Once the top notes burnt off it was a big, big no for me. Snickers lucked out being taken in by you two!!

Haha I so thought of you with the cedar in this. Now whenever I smell cedar you come to mind. I agree nice fresh opening but that was about it. And yes she is VERY spoiled! I make her fresh plain meat with either sweet potatoes or rice.

TheCriticalVirgo I did a blind buy based on some reviews...but it had to go! From now on when a reviewer says “it’s woody” and cedar is listed in the notes, I’ll know to SAMPLE FIRST lol!!

I struggle with this house so much. I really don't ever remember any scent from that line, they are pretty forgettable. One exception is Amaranthine. It's fantastic (and of course discontinued).
