As O'sullivan says; Play the simple shots well and you won't face difficult shots. What Williams did was playing a simple shot in a hard way and we saw the result.

Frame of the season: *Mark Williams* - Neil Robertson 2022 Masters Match of the season: *Mark Williams* - Ronnie O’sullivan 2022 Champion of champions Best crucible semifinal: *Mark Williams* - Judd Trump it’s really unfortunate for Mark to lose all three of these incredible matches, he’s on fire this season

The Masters always seems to bring the most dramatic matches of the season. In 2020 one of the matches of the season was Neil Robertson vs Stephen Maguire when Stephen came from 0-4 and 1-5 behind to win 6-5 and this year was just incredible.

That moment at 4:49 is just the most amazing shot I’ve ever seen. And the relief on Williams’s face, priceless

@@simonmallett9310 Yeah he is a great player, just not what was originally claimed. I know it is not the only criteria that can be used to measure these things, but he has fewer world titles than 13 other players including from the modern era Stephen Hendry, Ronnie O'Sullivan, John Higgins, Mark Selby and Mark Williams. And also fewer than Ray Reardon, Steve Davis, John Spencer and Alex Higgins if you want to deem them as from the modern era too.

Mark played the safety shot pf the year but he lost his composure in relatively simple straight pots and suddenly he created troubles for himself in the final frame!! Neil was much more focused in the entire game
@Matthew-bu7fg2 жыл бұрын
for me he played the shot of the year. That escape was millimetre precise. Absolutely beautiful

How stupid was Mark William playing that impossible swerve shot on green? ffs just play it off the cushion cuz he would still need a snooker. Sometimes these players amaze me when they don't play the simplest shot!

I think anyone at or near his level has the experience and knowledge to play certain shots. I’m sure he wouldn’t risk anything without knowing the consequences. He’s world class for a reason.

He would have left a easy yellow pot for neil if he would have played it off the cushion

From the angle, I don't think the swerve was even close 5o "impossible" though lol... It was very much on, maybe from that camera angle at least, but he did fail the swerve which I think wasn't too difficult, especially for pro like him...
