Agreed. But we try and show how things can be done with less expensive means. Our lift has be a concession to filming. It just makes shooting video easier. Plus it helps with my back issues. Standing is easier than rolling around on the floor like I have been in this series.

Man, back in the day, they went wild with the spot welds, no 2 cars are the same. I’ve seen random spot welds here and there, and in places where nothing is even being welded together. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ oh and I love it when I’m underneath drilling stuff out like this, and hot drilling chips fall on my neck. JOY!!! Good job as always guys.

LOL I hate that too. Which is why I made Logan do it. 😂 I had a Mustang that had three spots in a triangle right next to each other. THAT was annoying.

What I do to find spot weld is spray red paint real lighty and then us 80 grit sanpaper on a 1x2 wood block and lightly sand down the rail they show right up!

Nice video! A reminder that slow and steady gets the job done. I’m looking at a few cars that have a bit of rust, more than I’m initially comfortable with, however these videos are inspirational that, with the simplest of tools; the job can be done.

Do you have any suggestions if you cannot find a good frame rail. My 68 cougar needs the rear ends of the frame rails replaced, in central Saskatchewan Canada a good used rail is pretty much impossible to find. I was looking at the mustang rear patches, but cannot get an answer if they will fit a cougar. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for all your videos, they help me a lot on my project.

If you can't find one, I'd get a single Mustang rear rail and see. NPD does not list one some that may tell the tail right there. You might try some salvage yards in the southwest. Desert Valley Auto Parts in Arizona 866-942-2821 would be a good place to start.
