Thank you for still going through with the show. One thing to keep in mind I was hoping Huber would mention: The Last of Us released June 14, 2013. PS4 released Nov. 15, 2013. Not impossible for Part II to release before or with the launch of a PS5, if it were to release this year.

Great episode, sorry you guys lost some footage, but thank you for "pushing" through again. In any result a lot of quality parts shined though in this one. I also loved and agreed with Ben's comment about how we still needs games that are these single experience in which the enjoyment & revelation come from proceeding to objectively master the game. Fighting games first come to mind for this, but is applicable to any game that dose not have a direct progression or looting system.

Game for Kyles mom: Imo. If she was into journey? maybe, Rime. I know for many of us battle hardened gamers it has some faults but I think its got a lovely little story and pace and the end brought a tear to my eye. Also, the controls are pretty intuitive and not frustrating for new gamers.

I think Ghost is going to shock people since I think it most likely will be a trilogy based on history and the 3 invasion and the first story is a tragedy like real life where basically everyone dies and we are going to get invested in these people but know their outcome already.

I’m with Huber, I have 100 percent faith that Last of Us Part 2 is going to be amazing! Just from how they explained it in interviews of how all the AI has a name, and they whistle to each other to communicate, how they always have an idea where you are, how they react to when a bullet hits them in the cheek or when the arrow pierced his body. When Ellie is under the car and she cocks her gun. Or when she get hits by the arrow and tumbles to the ground in pain. Based on the gameplay alone I have so much faith it’s going to be a masterclass video game. Also I think we will have a dog companion.

The gameplay looks better but I'm not sure about the direction their heading with the story. It seems like Joel will have a much smaller importance in the game (my bet is that he dies at the start), none of the new characters have had enough time to look that interesting, and the possible time jumps into the past could mess with the pacing of the story. The problem that The Last of Us Part 2 has is that it's quality will mostly rely on the quality of the story, and if the story isn't as good as the first one then it will feel like a disappointment. It also doesn't help that we have expectations for TLOU2 and we can compare it to the first game, whereas games like Horizon, GoW, and Spiderman have all felt like completely new experiences, also why I'm much more excited for Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima.

There is always that risk of expectation but I have the confidence in the team and their storytelling, Only time will tell :)

The back half of below is definitely not worth the investment, and by the back half, i mean the majority of the games after you have descended a handful of levels and have realized that it just doesn't shake things up like at all. The final floor looks pretty visually different, but is that really worth dealing with the monotony? I really think some more varied and more interesting looking enemies would help a lot. I know its not ALWAYS red dots, but its ALMOST ALWAYS red dots even when its not, and any of the little creatures you encounter are so low poly that you can barely even appreciate them. The ending doesn't accomplish anything, and then it just ends. It's not like you earn some interesting new ability that re-frames your entire style of play, or gives you some sorta power fantasy or anything, or puts the entire "story" into question through its revelations, it just ends and it feels vague and uninspired. Look at Journey ffs, the ending of Journey is also this like symbolic thought provoking thing, but you are given the ability to fly practically endlessly, and in contrast with the rest of the game the improved mobility, coupled with the visuals and music, really swell into something that enriches the entire experience, and serves as SUCH a memorable moment. IT REALLY DOESN"T TAKE MUCH TO MAKE A SATISFYING ENDING, JUST LET PLAYERS HAVE FUN! Below just doesn't seem to do anything inspired after the first hour or two.

I just wanna say that the whole "Begging for Pokemon Rival" story kinda happened in Pokemon. Ash's Chimchar was originally owned by Paul, another trainer that only cared about strong 'mon, releasing many weak ones that he catched in front of Ash. (This guy was a a more regular Rival than Gary). Eventually he released Chimchar and Ash got it. That Chimchar turned our to be crazy strong being one of Ash's top Pokemon of all time, and he got to beat that guy with him, making him all jealous and stuff.

What Ben said is true, Monster Hunter World was an easy point for me to jump into but I'm hesitant with DMC 5 because it seems like I need to play all the other ones to understand the story. I jumped into DmC with no problem as well for example, and liked that one quite a bit.

That Pokemon pitch is amazing. There could be a point where your rival gets so furious with your success that he demands his pokemon back/tells the police that you stole it. And then you get this real sad scene where you have to give away of your starter pokemon (that you've bonded with and trained all game) to this jerk that's not going to take care of it. I imagine you'd have to do a Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee thing where your starter is always on your team and out of their pokeball to really make the bond land. Imagine petting your koffing and giving him new haircuts haha.

I love Huber thoughts on movies and general praise for ''Aquaman''. I haven't seen it yet but I am pretty sure I will enjoy it. Its story will probably be pretty bad and frankly I am kind of despair about the writing but the cast is seems quit decent (nice to see Moama finally getting some commercial succes) and the world building seems quit cool. Having said that, saying that the final battle is mercifully short isn't a ringing endorsement. The final batte is suppose to be amazing (like in LOTR movies).
