Rayman is BACK? | A Look at Mario + Rabbids DLC 3 (ft.

I've been having a blast with Rayman in the Phantom Show! Not only is it a very well crafted experience, but for the first time ever there's a satisfying conclusion for a Rayman + Rabbids story. When the two branched away, there wasn't much fanfare: the RRR trilogy ended on something of a bitter note, the Rabbids just did their own thing, and Rayman just got back to business for a little bit. So to see Rayman team up with the Rabbids and actually grew to appreciate them by the end...for the first time It feels like proper closure for the two of them. I don't know what will happen to Rayman in the future, but I greatly appreciate the amount of love and respect they give to Rayman in the DLC!

If a new Rayman game ever comes out, I’m day one-Ing that game and praising it until the cows come home. Loved how they showed respect and celebrated Rayman’s world and legacy with the rabbids. Definitely worth it!

God I hope the DLC sells well. Personally I’m a bit upset that Rayman fans are essentially being forced to buy a DLC for a game they may not even like just to have a CHANCE of getting a new game. But the dlc is genuinely good and the team behind it clearly cares about Rayman and wants to bring him back. If after this we still don’t get a new game though, I think it’ll be time to give up

I only bought it because of Rayman :/ which sucks... It just isn't what I want out of him... I love his model and costumes and seeing the Purple rings back but it means nothing. The designs are too good to be wasted on such a mediocre short DLC.

No one is being forced to play it. If you don't support something, you won't get it, but that is how the market works, but you really dont have to participate in it. Honestly, being this needlessly upset at a DLC is just being rude and petty. The devs love Rayman and fulfiled their job as fans of the series. They even stated that they love to do a Rayman game in the future, but have to see if others want it as well. If you show interest, you might get a new Rayman, but if not, then it's clear that it is dead because the market judges things based on money and not always on fan demand.

If we ever get a new Rayman game I'd love to see him return in a 3D game, it's been 20 years since Rayman 3. I'd love to see what they could do with 3D given the kind of consoles we've got nowadays.

One thing I will agree on is that Beep-O gets fully voiced dialogue and Rayman doesn’t. I still really enjoyed this DLC! I was an awesome ride!

I am SO happy to hear David Gasman returned to voice Rayman, it didn't sound like him in the trailer so I'm very pleasantly surprised! He'll always be THE voice of Rayman to me, whether in english or Raymanian/Wandaye.

Thanks so much for reviewing the DLC. I hope this video goes viral to support the DLC. Unfortunately, the DLC hasn't received the highest reception by everybody including a news website I visit that gave it a 6 out of 10. But, some people have really liked it, and I'm glad you did. I did actually buy a physical copy of the game for a good price, and bought the DLC. I haven't actually played the main game and just the DLC. That also made things a bit confusing, but I've been sort of able to get used to it. I have already beaten 2 of the main sets. Honestly, they have seemed a bit simple or short, but I've still put my fair share of time into the DLC.

Not gonna lie, I was bitter for a long time after Rayman got shafted in his own franchise (until Origins that is), but seeing this new version of him, retaining knowledge and character arcs from the whole saga, accepting the Rabbids after being in their shadow while having a new time to shine in 3D... Feels cathartic to say the least. I really hope we get Rayman 4.

The Only Flaw was that it felt too short After I beat the big boss I clocked in a 5 and a half hours where the Previous DLC took me up to 8 so I expected more Content And that's doing MOST of the Side content and Coin Battles But I do love Rayman's Abilities of switching outfits and doing different attacks

My one nitpick with this DLC is that I was really hoping for more remixes of classic Rayman songs in the OST. Both trailers for the DLC feature original remixes of songs from Origins and Legends, and so does the opening cutscene. So when I started the game I was super pumped for some nostalgic Rayman music, but there is none beyond what I already mentioned. Besides that the OST is still really good and feels very Rayman-esque.

It's not surprising that Beep-O is the only one with complete spoken dialogue outside of cutscenes, he doesn't have a mouth and they don't have to spend more money to animate mouth movement and animations.

I've been loving playing Origins and just started Legends - played a few others dotted around. It's great to see him back, and the continuity too but I don't care about playing through a whole unrelated game just to experience him - just give me a new game for him.

At least we got Ubisoft basically admitting Rayman was overshadowed by the Rabbids, even if it really stung. Like damn Ubisoft this DLC already has pretty minimal fan service you don't have to drag my man through the dirt as well!

I think the verse where the Phantom mentions Rayman's friendship with Globox growing weaker dates back to the first Raving Rabbids game, where Rayman was unable to save his kids at the end. On top of that, he also failed to stop the Rabbids again for two more games. Here's how I see it: Globox, as well as other friends, began to lose faith in Rayman. How can they trust him, since he's supposed to be the hero of the Glade, when he can't do his job right? I see the UbiArts games taking place in an alternate universe. Its continuity is very conflicting, the characters are suddenly dumbed down, and Origins even had three different backstories for Rayman. I preferred his backstory as told in Rayman 2, where he was a mysterious creature that suddenly came to the Glade. It's likely the DLC takes off years after RRR TV Party. The Phantom's lyrics could have double meaning. 1; Ubisoft leaving Rayman's legacy to rot in favor of profit. And 2; The decline of his popularity with the Glade, because they'll never let down how a bunch of insane bunny rabbits got the best of him.

I was waiting for you to do a review of the dlc and it was worth it.But I wish they replaced the enemies with the prototype rabbids like Professor Barranco 3 probably used Darkmess to turn them back into their original Ways to invading And see the difference between modern rabbids vs the original prototype rabbids that will be sick

There's probably a lot more to that line about Globox's friendship than it seems. We know that Rayman Origins and Legends take place after Rayman 1. However, even though Machines appear in those games, nothing in them is as technologically advanced as Razorbeard's crew, which is a group of sentient* robots, the peak of AI. Meaning that Rayman 2 must take place after* Rayman Legends, indicated also by the absence of Globox's children. Globox is a chill and fearless guy in Legends while in Rayman 2 he worries about things a lot more. If becoming a father changed Globox, then that'd probably explain why he'd have an issue with Rayman's hygiene, even though he had no issues jumping into swamps with him in the past.

We know that the Rabbids games are the last in the Timeline, since the world is so advanced in comparison to the other games. So why is Rayman being so disrespected now? Well, all of the prior Rayman games took place thousands of years prior to the present, which is the world we see in the Rabbids games. At this point, all of Rayman's feats are Legends of the past, people are aware of them, and probably respected Rayman as a hero because of them. But after he lost the battle against the Rabbids and they managed to invade the world, he's probably not seen as a great hero anymore. Worst! He became a bit of a laughing stock, for not being able to take down such wackos, even though he supposedly* took down entire armies by himself in the past.

Creativity is Rayman's thing. Creativity has NOT been Ubisoft's thing since they've run the Far Cry & Assassin's Creed series straight into the ground using the over-saturation method. Hopefully this DLC makes Ubisoft realize that the people don't want more Assassin's Creed or Far Cry games. The people want more Rayman games! give the people what they want Ubisoft!

I love seeing Rayman in that game. I enjoyed Origin and Legends greatley but I know some fans wants a 3D platformer and I think they can do it and make it big. He might struggle with sales but there gotta be something. I love how they used the costumes in this too the extra flair of those comabt fatigues. Wonder how an updated look for the other forms would look like.
