Ahah fun fact! Rayman 4 was in development and cancelled.... Not once... But TWICE... There was the first one that barely even made it to prototype... And then there was the original vision of the Rabbids... This leaked Prototype... That was actually the SECOND version of Rayman 4......................... AND THEN! It gets better! Michel Ancel, back in 2017... Promised a Rayman 4 after he had finished his ongoing projects...................... And then retired before the projects where even finished....... So Rayman 4 had THREE chances and never happened (Officially) Yup.... I just hope the fans do it justice! I am so STARVED of Rayman content, that all the fan content is making me salivate!!!

It wasn't even time crunch in the normal sense, it was Ubisoft saying they wanted it on the Wii with motion controls and having to scrap everything for it to work because they didn't know how to work with motion controls and needing it out by a certain date.

Really? What I heard was that it was always intended for the Wii as a release game and Nintendo were the ones who told them to maybe scrap the ambitious game and instead make an easier to program game, which could be out by the release of the Wii

Honestly incredibly fascinating how much of the game was kept in raving rabbids but obviously used completely differently. All the power up costumes just random customization, the levels used for minigame locations

When I first saw this prototype in action, I legit thought it was insane, now here's Ubisoft still not giving a shit about Rayman, but the modding community coming in to pretty much do a "hold my beer and let me cook" thing. I still think a Rayman 4: Rabbits Invasion game would be so hype especially if it was artistically inspired by Rayman 3 but with better animations of course. Just take Box Art Rayman 3 and make him playable in colorful worlds and bam, 1/3rd of the game is conceptually finished. I just really want that game so bad cause the Rabbids beta looked so interesting...

You know what this reminds me of? Kao the kangaroo mystery of vulcano expanded edition (kangurek kao tajemnica wulkanu edycja roserzona) a mod for Kao 3 wich was a sequel that sadly couldn't reach it's full potential due to decline of platformers at the time wich led to budget cuts, the mod is dding stuff like a new level (there were suppose to be more new level but they didn't know how to fill those levels), upgrades are also being added and plenty of other things are changed (the creators of the mod have a youtube channel too "Kao modding")

The thing is, ubisoft doesn't care about the rayman franchise, so I don't see the issue of rereleasing the original idea for raving rabbids before they turned it into a mini game collection due to the WII controls. Yet both illuminations and ubisoft are French companies where annoying little creatures became the mascots of the company because they became more popular then the franchises they came from

We're trying to pull from everything Raving Rabbids from that time (examples of references on the previously released videos), as if we were in an alternate timeline where every other game released back then was derived from this one. Since we already said that in the past I can say it here, but nothing more at the moment. So I'll just answer your question about how we'll use them with : yes

8:34 there are actually 3 professors. The one with the bandages is considered to be Barranco 1, while Barranco 2 appeared in the “making of” videos for Raving Rabbids. The one with the two colored eyes is Barranco 3, and appears in Raving Rabbids 2, Alive and Kicking, and Invasion.

For anyone wondering about Professor Baronko, i recommend "The Bizarre Lore of the Rabbids" video by Choopo, but essentially there was the original Professor Baronko who was the bruised up rabbid, but the Red and Blue Eyed Rabbid is Professor Baronko 3, a clone just as intellegent but genuinly evil evil

It's funny how things turn out in a totally different way. When Michel Ancel drew that Rabbid, he probably just thought that it would be another type of villain that Rayman would face like the Robot Pirates or the Hoodlums before them. Reburrowed will be the closest thing to the game we should have had in 2006, or 2007, if Ubisoft weren't so greedy.

Shame that it seems like there's not going to be all that much here that actually looks like it should be in a Rayman game, though; the realistic aesthetic is cool and all, but I'd have killed to see something akin to Band Land or Picture City in full 3D... Hell, the leak giving us a better picture of the direction the game could have been heading towards actually made me feel a little bit less upset that it never wound up coming out. My personal grievances aside, though, this looks like an incredible fan project. It's really amazing what some passionate people can do, and I'll definitely give the Rabbids another chance if it really does get finished.

I think my biggest issue with this project so far is that the areas feel very empty with no real major landmarks even with the dash and the animals it feels like a whole lot of nothing. That being said I really hope the best for the team since this will probably be the best Rayman fangame since redemption

Even if the prototype was going to have voice acting, it would make more sense for Reburrowed to have Rayman 2/Banjo-Kazooie gibberish since it would be too time consuming and expensive to have full voice acting for every single character on a project that isn't being developed by a AAA company like the prototype was.

I hope the guys working on the soundtrack try to come up with something more unique. What's there right now does sound fitting for the scenario sure, but mainline Rayman music is a lot more unique and experimental. The music in these games has a pretty prominent role, standing out on its own and creating a strong sense of identity for the whole game. The music in these games makes them come across as sort of interactive music albums one experiences by playing the game.

Don't get me wrong, as much as I love the Mario + Rabbids series where the Rabbids are a lot more tolerable through character development and Rayman making an appearance in the DLC, I think there should have a more edgier game where it would flesh out the Rabbids even more where some of their brethren somehow stayed on the Glade of Dreams and evolved into the montrous versions of themselves, like the ones from Rayman 4, and so Rayman has to team up with Mario, Beep-0 and the friendly Rabbids to defeat the monstrous Rabbids, learn secrets about their origins and encounter Jabbit who is the true leader of the Rabbids with support of an old enemy of Rayman, Mr. Dark.

There are also a few very detailed pages dedicated to characters with tiny roles that did not need them, with one of them being extremely suggestive and a bit disturbing imo. The wiki overall is just filled with random stuff made up by fans over the years, and it spread so much to the point that most fans would consider all of it canon.
