Framing a diamond painting - Easy and Inexpensive!

I am new to DP and have a few ready for framing. I've watched so many videos on framing and this is the ONLY one that speaks to me. You matted your DP in a way that makes sense without having to fuss with getting the correct mat size. The problem for me was the DP'ings themselves are seldom the size indicated. I was toying with the idea of having them matted and framed professionally but was concerned that in the process there may be loss of drills. That also can become very expensive to do if you do a lot of these ...like we do. I can buy my poster boards in many colors from Amazon and even find some pretty nice frames. Thank you for doing this. It was literally the answer to my prayers as I have one ready to give my sister as a house warming gift. Be blessed and keep the videos coming...I'll be watching them all.

I did a buck picture , sort of autumn colors, and framed it in black. Then I used thin skor tape around the edge of the painting on the black then burnished gold flakes on the tape. It really added to the picture. Silver would look nice on the blue color you used.

TY this was the easiest way ever. But we measured and got it perfect, I held it in place while holding up the bottom end of the art. My husband slipped the first double sided tape in. Pressed it down then it was easy to add more tape. just a suggestion. :) Would post pic but no option to do so.

I get my frames from at the yard sales or salvation army thrifty store. And I do the same thing that you do. And also sometimes I get white poster board and I painted the white boarder best match my diamond painting thats only time if I can't find the color I need .And sometime I use canvas put my diamond painting on and frames that way I make sure the canvas fits in the frame..

@@patriceseheult4554 If I frame my diamond painting, I don't seal it with anything. I have DPs that I framed a 1 1/2 ago, and they are in perfect condition. They are protected from air and dust when they are framed. I do seal key chains, notebooks and things like that with either Liquitex, Triple Thick or UV resin.

You can also use matching ribbon glued the top or side works great then frame it just trim to fit frame

Thank you :) I'm half-way finished my first round-diamond picture of a siberian husky puppy - as a christmas gift for a friend. I was wondering how I could save its quality and sparkle. I didnt like the ideas of the paint-on finishes some promote - as the shine has said to be lost - by many people. Putting it behind glass is the perfect solution for my friend as they have a busy life - too busy to dust out between all the diamonds all the time. Thank you for showing this inexpensive solution. I agree with you!! I would much rather put my diamond painting in a frame than put a sealer on them - I really don't want to lose that special shine. I also don't want to spend a lot of money, so I think this is a really easy and inexpensive way to frame your paintings!! Triple Thick is the best to use for sealing the beads when you are done of the project to get it ready for framing.

I don't seal a painting when I frame it, as it is protected from dust and air. When I do use a sealer, my favorites are Liquitex and Triple Thick.

It turned out really good! I have several finished diamond paintings that are not framed, mainly because I’m worried about using the spray adhesive. I’m afraid I’ll get it crooked and can’t correct it. This makes it a whole lot easier! Thank you for your video.

I buy frames with plexiglass. That way if the frame would fall off the wall it won’t break. If you have glass it will.

Most of the frames I buy have plexiglass also, especially the bigger ones. The glass ones are so much heavier, and like you said, can fall off the wall and break.
