That clip of the tv presenter saying she wanted to shoot Britney was insane, and you can see from Britney’s reaction how down to Earth she was and confident in her own image that was gradually being warped by the media and gossip magazines. “It’s not my job to be a parent to your kids”. Conservatorship is abused even with the elderly. Being a conservator can be incredibly lucrative for the person that the court assigns. They can invoice the estate for frivolous charges and bleed dry the person they are supposed to be watching over. Look up Guardians From Hell on Tablet Magazine's website - an elderly woman was assigned a conservator named Jon Munger, even though her daughter was willing to care for her, and the conservator embezzled from her and forbid her daughter from seeing her.

I think the one thing we all can agree on is that celebrities miss the freedom to go to and move about any public place without being harassed. The little things like stopping at a gas station to put gas in your car or making a quick run to the store around the corner when you realize you need to buy another jug of orange juice are what people miss when they become superstar celebrities. As insane as this sounds a lot of them would gladly give up all of the fame and fortune just to live like a normal person again. Privacy is like gold and I have a feeling celebrities envy us just as much as we envy them. Hell, I get annoyed whenever I leave my apartment and the noisy neighbours and their kids are all around. It doesn't always happen. Most of the time I'm able to go to and from my place in peace. If I was a celebrity everyone and their grandparents would be outside waiting for me every day and every night. Constant knocks on the door. There would be no peace ever. Mostly I would be held hostage in my place because I couldn't go anywhere without being mobbed by a crush of people. It is better to get rich by winning the lottery. At least you will still be an unknown private citizen as long as you don't tell your friends and relatives. Martin made the right choice by protecting his daughters from a cutthroat life in the spotlight.

The whole interview about Timberlake where Sawyer was like “well wtf did you do??” That whole interview is ridiculous. Then this girl has two kids back to back, probably had undiagnosed PPD, and the paparazzi was absolutely ruthless, it’s not wonder this girl snapped. She snapped and her father took advantage and now controls her whole life; her body, her daily choices, her finances, etc No one had her best interest in heart, since she was a child, and then ppl acted shocked when she snapped. It is tough because, on the one hand, people are obsessed with celebrities where they will ruin their lives for them. On the other people's lives are better by some of these celebrities. You say they should care about things that matter. Many of them are being impacted by these things, and the thing that is keeping them alive are these celebrities. I knew people who are suicidal but listening to someone's music and following a singer keeps them going. This is America (and Britain too). Britney will be dead like Michael Jackson and people will still say it is their fault.

I do appreciate seeing the perspective of people who aren’t Britney fans covering this coming from a Britney fan. I agree with a lot of what you said. Two things I would like to bring to yalls attention are they did try to get some people from the other side of the story in the documentary, but they declined. Also I believe this documentary is so one sided because it is used as a voice for Britney. She is so heavily guarded and censored by those around her, she isn’t allowed to speak freely in interviews or mention her conservatorship. Her dad has spoken out to page sixxx saying all of this speculation is conspiracy and also TMZ covered his side saying all is well and it’s blown out of proportion. In her court documents that were released she states she is afraid of her dad and wants a professional to be over her estate (which I believe shows she acknowledges some need for additional support) and that she appreciates her fans informed efforts. I think the other side has been able to speak their side and Britney has not, hence the view point of this documentary. Overall though thumbs up on this video.

29:20 Thankyou Martin! This is EXACTLY why i don't bother watching any of these Netflix documentaries, cause they're ALWAYS ONE-SIDED! Just as Korey described, said it started out insightful, yeh - "started out", they always started out in such a way cause they're designed to draw you in so you stick with it and watch the whole damn thing. These documentaries are all the same, they edit them and put them together in such a way and its really sly tbh, it's to influence the viewer to that particular one-sided perspective. And you never get the full picture. These things are just light-entertainment. Same with Leaving Neverland. They're designed so you watch it then talk about it with friends or your coworkers the next day and then you've forgotten bout it by end of the month. Nothing truly insightful, but if you want to watch REAL eye opening documentaries, try Capturing the Friedmans, or An Open Secret.
