Great mods and a great video. One coffee wasn't enough. A lot of good information.

Haha yeah it was even hard for me to watch it through but there is a lot of info there. Especially if you're about to use the SSB and Corner Casting Cover package.

I like this format (talking/teaching). Great work! Have you considered building a metal framing kit for sliding glass doors?
@TheContainerGuyTV Жыл бұрын
We'll get a double steel door framing kit developed once we're finished our new sleek 32" door frame. Then we'll get you folks a sliding glass door frame. Test with the commercial market first, then transfer that know-how to the residential market.

You might be able to get the door to fully open if you put another curve at the end of the track to tip the top of the door down.

Good idea. I'll ask the door contractor about that. Could maybe go up a bit too if the ceiling height was there.

I’m a boilermaker/welder and here’s a tip google in how to join wood panels together. I’m sure you’ll find one method for you. I did a small wooden boat course and they helped with many timber joins that get the best strength . Done correctly those panels will resist cracking on the joins. Boat guys will die if a panel separates

both you Channing and your team did a great job. but i would mount a rubber/spring end dampener at the end of that roll-over garage door so it doesn't hit the wall at the end of track.

Good idea💡!

Here's is a tip : install the top an bottom track first with bubble strip between the track floor an ceiling. Next cutout windows an doors all beforehand , then spray foam . This will allow you to get a even coverage on walls an ceiling. Then frame an install windows an doors This will save time money an headache. Trust. Doing it this way made it so much easier. Hit the like on this comment if it helped you. Cheers

Maybe put the track on before the steel framing, so the door goes between the top of the container and the ceiling. Should give you extra height, extra depth (the door has another 2.5 inches or so), and better insulation at the ceiling since it is now further away from the top of the container.

I put a garage door on a tin 10x10 shed that was really a pain in the ass lots of cutting and modding to make it work oh well that was a long time ago.

I would like the same built, but in a 40 foot, with two rollup doors. You can leave the plywood unpainted. And I need it in Grand Forks North Dakota.

Your delivery of the information is very welcomed and extremely well done. I would love to find out if there is a way I can get your kits to Australia and if you have any outlets/dealers in Perth Australia? I’m keen.

Send us an email. It's amazing how many people from Australia or Hawaii order stuff from us when you think shipping would be the killer. parts@thecontainerguy.ca

What is the the R-value of the garage door. Video is great
@TheContainerGuyTV Жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike. I meant to say that in the video. The contractor figured it was either a R16 or R18 commercial slab (2" thick). He told me to always get those going forward. Great quality!

Maybe a flexible caulking would work ? Might be worth a try.

Should do this on a "dbl-wide" conversion!!!! Or, might this also work for 8'x8', 8'x12' and 8'x16' storage units?

Can you please advise on the best insulation foam type for for high humid areas like the islands.

How do you insulate the floor? Is the foam sprayed from underneath?

Hello, good afternoon. I would like to know the cost of two 20' containers ready for home and where they are located. Thank you

if you want to capture the international market, be sure to include *metric* measurements in the webshop, manuals and videos! for example, I've no idea how big 1.875" is without conversion/lookup (47.625 mm as it turns out), which might be fine for one or two measurements, but for a whole container mod with 5-6 kits?
@TheContainerGuyTV Жыл бұрын
We're Canadian so metric is our system. I just don't think in mm. Good point though about the installation instructions. Thanks 👍
@csehszlovakze Жыл бұрын
@@TheContainerGuyTV I specifically brought it up cause I've seen a lot of Canadians online use a "mixed" system of sorts.
