Can you just cut off the ends of the feet to make the bottom level instead of welding all that steel?

@MikeKemp-m7i15 сағат бұрын
If you farm out these brackets to an American metal stamping company you could mass produce them for far cheaper. You will become much more profitable by actually getting your product out there and selling them for around $5 each seems more reasonable. When you only produce a few the costs will be high and only the wealthy will buy.

Don’t bury the way he did it and don’t use him. You could easily do it better who would use plywood underneath the dirt? It’s just ridiculous.

I have just seen many videos of people joining two containers together, with the many problems they encounter (some foreseen, others are unexpected and nearly tragic). This is brilliant, and certainly the best way to connect two or more containers together. Thanks.

If you put a bio-digester in there you can process the waste in-situ, producing enriched water that can be safely released on site, and natural gas that can supplement heating and energy needs.

where is the video on how you insulate this one?

I want to put 2 40 FT HC together with a 20 foot on top across them. The roof of the 40 footers will be a big deck leading to the 20 foot container. I like your system in the video but how are you insulating the outside? I was thinking of hardy board with Stucco. on the walls and a membrane roof with a floating deck. Thoughts?

why not take a longer screw and get in by screwing and not by hammering it in?
@TheContainerGuyTVКүн бұрын
If you watched the video you’d know that the intended purpose is to be bolted in, we had to modify the prototype to make it fit better.
@50sventКүн бұрын
@@TheContainerGuyTV with a longer screw in the existing mechanism, you would not hammer it in. you put the upper part inside the corner and let the screw do the pushing in of the lower part

here some ideas - 1. why dont you leverage the holes on the side to insert an impact and a special end to pull the shoe in. 2. making them with a slight pyramid taper would allow them to enter easier 3. so that you dont trap items between the shoe and the ground surface, make them have channels, like mini slider rails with a rounded edge. 4. possibly a piece of angle iron that could span the holes on the side could have a threaded nut that a countersunk bolt could be tightened or loosened (to take off). also, thanks for the cool video, it is fun watching you experiment and iterate with these ideas.

- ?? roller and "track" skates also - a whole range of rolling elements from steel, aluminium to teflon and UHDPE/UHMWPE could be used - even separate the sliding plate from the mechanical lock interface....... These look better as a delivery and pickup option (tilt ray or hook truck where the twistlocks aren't used to secure on the deck) - protect the customers property, but as a container handling solution - 40 tonne skates will serve better...

It didn't look like the concrete "sanded" much off the bottom of the skids. Is that what you were seeing live?

Not quite, the animation was to dramatize the effect after a long period of time, we’ve used them for a few weeks now and haven’t noticed any serious wear.

BEST WAY TO PROVE YOU ARE A COMPLETE MORON. BUY A CONTAINER, FRAME AROUND THE OUTSIDE, FRAME THE INSIDE, REMOVE THE DOORS AND FRAME IN AN ENTRANCE DOOR, AND CUT HOLES IN THE SIDES FOR WINDOWS. OR JUST FRAME WHAT YOU WANT WITHOUT THE OBSTACLE AND EXPENSE OF A RUSTY OLD CONTAINER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey boss, just wanted to leave some feedback on polls. If I did a poll about "Would you rather loose an arm or a leg?", both will get votes but no one who is responding is actually planning on losing a limb. It can be the same when trying to gauge product interest. A lot of people say they would rather frame in steel because it seems more durable to them and they'd want to use them if they were going to frame a container.. but most of them can't afford a container and aren't seriously considering it etc. To get better results I would do a poll that asks: Are you planning on using external framing on your shipping container build? 1) Would not externally frame 2) Yes, wood framing 3) Yes, steel framing if available 4) No plans to build out a container currently This gives you similar data but it lets people particiape and also opt out while also giving you frame vs no framing numbers. Will Prowse has some great surveys on his channel that are structured similarly. Keep up the good work!

I think a redesign is needed so that the tighten mechanism is accessible by the side hole than from the bottom. Sounds a lot safer and easier, plus less chance of additional damage by the screw from the bottom. Could also do some investigation for compliance device/ mechanism. (check out YT/Veritasium, he got a video on how it works)

Shoes! 👍👍🏾👍🏻 The only problem I foresee, actually more of an inconvenience is its removal when stacking the cans. That's in light of the difficulty of installation.

- a polymer plate "pressed / screwed/ threaded - infinite options for fixing, on the underside of a twist lock - like the caster wheel illustrated - much easier to install and remove as needed
