This vid is the best explanation of the kits and build by far. I watched a ton of times the other boat builds you guys have accomplished but like I said I had to watch many times because they were a bit convoluted on the design process. You have done yourself right by making this video and giving an explanation on the process.

I can 100% agree trying to follow along in the build series is very convoluted and sometimes watching things from several years ago with completely different design variations

I use the same aluminum extrusion that screen room builders use ,the L-angled clips work real nice. They sell angled stock for screen rooms also ,a 12' piece is less than $25. Heck of a lot cheaper if you buy it from a aluminum construction wholesaler.

In process of doing some minor mods to my boat… if it goes ok, may do a full rebuild this winter… a little apprehensive about it but you present a clearer process of what needs to be done. Thank you much for taking the time to do this, it is much appreciated!

That’s the information no one is really speaking about. Method’s and methodologies. You guys have a great system that you’ve improved over years. Reducing materials and ease of installation providing value for the customers you serve as well as saving shop time for yourselves. A little more in depth of your trials and errors as well as your successes in building would be a great video series. I wish you success in your niche industry.

Really appreciate the explanation, the website's not terribly clear with what specifically you can accomplish with the kit whether it does or does not include enough pieces to frame out of subframe. And for those of us that are international that shipping would just be ridiculous I greatly appreciate the parts list that's provided. Although after watching several videos I still don't understand what a a few of the aluminum pieces are supposed to be for

So I’m trying to convert a boat from straight fishing to duck hunting. But I’d still like a livewell as well.

Make a good sketch. Livewell tanks measure 12x30x12", lid size is a 12x30 with an "on deck" measurement of 15x33"

I watched Adam Ryan do his boat (the first time he did it ) and went a bought 1k of lumber and I did my entire boat . When he redid his boat it makes me want to rip it all out and do it with aluminum. My boat is awesome but I know it’s got a lot of weight so I’m worried it won’t plain out . I have a 15 h.p. Johnson from the 60’s so thinking about getting a brand new one . I have a 14 36 from 63 and was wondering what you would recommend as far as the new motor . Again I did my entire boat from front to back with lumber red fur because it’s light weight wood . So that being said I’m wanting a price of your boss kit for a 14 footer and a motor recommendation? Thanks for your time

I built a 14’ boat with all aluminum framing and panels, the only wood is just the top deck. I put a Mercury 25 horse 4 stroke on it and I run almost 30mph! You can’t beat a newer 4 stroke

@@americanjedi7785 Idk, this is a tough one for me. I think if I had the money for a motor, I would use it to rebuild the boat with aluminum. Only downfall would be the build time. I think it would be cool to see how the same motor performs with a wood kit vs an aluminum.

@@fireantfishing well that might be the goal . If I could show pictures it would be easy to show how much I added to it . It was like eating Pringles once you pop you can’t stop . My boat is fully done where you don’t see anything but carpet . Front deck and rear deck is completely done . I actually didn’t take the benches out , I built around them . Now it has full electronics and a trolling motor with foot pedal . I feel like the boat sits low in the water . I got the boat and before it touched water I built it . I haven’t had the motor on it as of yet but I did check it over and actually ran it in a big trash can .

Looking at the kits and like to keep things simple as possible but also looking to have a few electronic gadgets on board (bilge pump, chartplotter, vhf, and depth finder maybe more) on it and a subfloor from bow to stern. Seeing the options online which kit be ideal for my 1448 mod v will 15 inch transom also if i were to remove my benches will that destroy the structure integrity of the boat even if i were to add a subfloor and this framing kit?

Is using .08 sheets for horizontal subfloor and decking and 0.04 for vertical covers? I found locally substantial better prices for these instead of the 0.09 and 0.05 mentioned in your videos.

@@fireantfishing In the end, I bought the 0.9 and 0.5 aluminum sheets. I'm building the boat once, so I better do it right in the first place...
