Yes, it is. Plus that neck is very fat, not for shred playing.

The body looks great, it sounds good but to these eyes 3x3 headstocks on 'S' type guitars just don't look quite right.

Disagree... it's not different from a Gibson SG, PRS Custom, Danelectro '63, etc... It's pretty only a matter of ignorance by people growing all their life by only looking at (and playing with) the traditional Fender Tele, Strat and Gibson LP and nothing else (and therefore not being capable to imagine anything else at this point). Except that even if they are indeed the roots of electric guitars, they're not the only form and shape on earth and they're other design and combinations that do exist and are just as great. The Framus here is a perfect example and 10 times more beautiful than for instance an ugly '70s Fender 6 in-line headstock...
