A lot of actors who have gotten principal work still work as extras so they can meet the SAG insurance requirements in order to keep it. If you watch any show, guest actors only get paid about 5K an episode and book about 5 jobs a year if they are lucky. Many actors have day jobs to support themselves in order to live the dream.

What strikes me as really powerful here, is the eloquent presentation of this conflict's universality... there is total change of the system, but contracts for those who make the system are supposed to stay the same... so that multinational companies can feed their CEOs...
