He has clearly decided to enjoy his life and have fun whatever he’s doing. I couldn’t believe that Hamill was so versatile as a voice actor! He obviously loves doing it.

I love that Stephen thinks to ask if Hamill wished he could have seen Star Wars in '77. That is such a thoughtful question. I imagine that if you're in something like that, you can never have the experience of watching the film like an ordinary young person. I remember going to the movies in May of 1977 with my sister at age 11 when the movie first came out (right before all the hype and popularity exploded), and it was sheer pleasure. The audience in the theater cheered and applauded when the end credits rolled. You didn't want it to end. Hamill is so appreciative of his involvement in Star Wars, and just a decent and funny person all around. A lot of celebs and actors are not like this. And how hilarious was "Whatever floats your boat". 😄

Thank you. I knew the band had a point but I had forgotten the title of that piece and was searching for it online - I had forgotten Horace Silver's name too but I could see his face from the album cover. its so awesome that he is still excited about being part of star wars. i feel sometimes actors who are part of these shows or movies that gain such a cult following become annoyed about constantly being associated with it, but mark clearly isn't one of those actors. very refreshing

Doctor Jones I am sorry if you think that I don't like Harrison ford. I just don't see him as much, perhaps due to the fact that I see hamill more often. Maybe its my circle, and I know that he was Indy and that guy in blade runner(forgot his name sorry). But I don't see him much other than those. Perhaps he has more prominence than mark hamill for all I know.

For all the love many of the original Star Wars cast gets, Mark Hamill is just about the ONLY one that actively loves and embraces being a part of it. So many of the others set out to prove they can be something else besides "so-and-so in Star Wars", to the point of being bitter about its existence. The fact that Mark is so grounded and grateful makes him the absolute best person attached to Star Wars, period.
@ehcmier7 жыл бұрын

What about Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams?
@KriegsMeister277 жыл бұрын
I think it mostly stems from the fact that he was a young inexperienced actor, while everyone else was much older and had a multitude of other film credits that they wished were similarly recognized
@The1AndOnlyGoldenboy7 жыл бұрын
Anthony Daniels is a rude, bitter dipshit. It's obviously he views the role of C-3PO in the same way a person views working at Wal-Mart... they do it because it makes them money, not because they ever want to do the job. Williams, from my limited interactions with him, can only tolerate it as long as he's sober. The drunker he gets, the more impatient and rude he becomes. So... if you ever meet him, hope it's in the late morning, after his hangover is gone but before he starts drinking after lunch.

I think the fact that Mark Hamill "fundamentally disagreed with everything the director decided for his character" says all we'll ever need to know.. hate that Disney has turned an art form into a factory product.
