I had no idea this happened to Fran, it’s so upsetting and I’m so disgusted. By that fucking question of sorts asked by Howard stern too. That was a vile thing to say or ask someone. I’m glad she’s doing much better now though, and I admire her for how she helped identify the people who attacked her. That’s the sign of a very strong person.

HOW could Howard Stern make a comment to a rape victim about her 'beautiful body being used'? That's really creepy! Why did he even ask her about it right out of the blue? Those rapists partly mentally destroyed both Fran and her husband.

No one who was brutally attack, should go on Howard Sterns show to tell their story. He’s a psychopath who gets off on people dealing with horrific situations. His questions while making inappropriate comments is always disgusting. His show should have been shut down decades ago. Giving Stern full reins with his show is a major contributor to what’s wrong with society now. All the best to Fran, she deserves better.

@SummerLove316

There is a connection between cancer & buried trauma especially sexual assault. I don’t have perfect health so I’ve had to find interesting treatments & that was a fact that I learned from that experience. It helps explain how my mom ended up with cancer at such a young age, she’d been through her own hell that she never talked about enough to heal. She told a family member due to her suspicions about what he’d done to me, I was too scared to tell her so she made sure to leave the story with them. She also told a therapist but since I wasn’t in the sessions I don’t know if she was talking to the best person to help her heal. I wish I could have found that program & sent her before she got cancer for a second time, it was hard to have her die in my arms at a very young age. I wish that the kind of therapy that helped me heal from so much in one session was more readily available & covered by insurance. One last thing, I shared a guest house with another person going through this program that was trying to heal from breast cancer with a history of sexual abuse cause she really didn’t feel comfortable with chemo, she let me know 4 months later that she was cancer free so their is definitely something to that!

I grew up watching “the nanny” and loved her unique voice and I live in the UK. I had no idea this ever happened to her. To make her husband watch must be so traumatic for both of them. I was the victim of a home invasion. When I opened the front door I was attacked by 4-5 guys. They beat me with bats, broke my arm and ribs. They pistol whipped me. They then went after my girl. Thank God they didn’t rape her. There is no way to describe the helplessness when the person you love is yelling help,but you can’t get to them. People don’t understand how a man feels when something like this happens. I was a veteran, a army Ranger. An yet I couldn’t protect what mattered most to me. It took a few years of self reflection and many hours training in every martial art I could find. It still sits in the back of my mind. But like living in Baltimore city. You learn to never half step. I messed up and got to comfortable in a dangerous world. It’s not the same world I grew up in.
@sharynmain2432
@sharynmain2432 8 ай бұрын
No it's not the same world. And you did not mess up... something outside of your control happened and the only people to blame and shame is the offenders. Fighting injustice to an event that isn't your own is a debilitating task. Life offers no rhythm or reason sometimes. Watching this I also felt the heaviness that her husband must have felt being place in the position that he could not help and had to witness that. It would be soul destroying...no matter how strong you think you may be or others comment on. Fran and everyone concerned would have endured hell and back. She is a remarkable women and I have heard her speak on other matters. Just because someone seems to be born with beauty, brains and success that they work for.... no one gets to the latter stages of life especially without being exposed to suffering and extreme heartache. I wish that more people just were kinder and more civil. If you don't like or care for a person, side step them, don't induce unhealthy talk or actions, and vice versa. If you are a recipient of violence, emotional, physical or verbally, don't let anyone make you believe you deserve it. And as for the growing trend of hate in this world.... the landscape has changed severely and the tipping point of undoing it... and it seems very overwhelming. As for Howard Stern I don't know the chap as I am not American but this type of gutter talk concerning women and men for that fact, being sexually harmed... really is abhorrent. It says more about him than the topic....

She is so right about how talking about the thing can truly help free you. Holding it inside doesn't make you strong, and talking doesn't make you weak. Sometimes, we really need to hear ourselves, to pay attention to the things that we need to get out. Hearing yourself saying it out loud can change everything. It just needs to cause a small spark to make things click, to see that vocalizing can release so much of that burden. I admire Fran so much for speaking about this. She is an amazing woman, and she is so strong and beautiful. I wish her every happiness. She deserves it.

This is terrifying, & absolutely disgusting how media put her in legit danger all for a friggin story & all for good credit points from the boss 😤 paparazzi & those who invade celebrities lives SO badly, need to be stopped. There needs to be laws preventing them from having such easy access to them, & then harassing them endlessly 😤 even after traumatic events in their lives with no guilt what so ever 🤬

She’s an incredible woman as well as a wonderful actress. I remember learning of her attack years after The Nanny had finished and feeling incredibly sad that something so awful had happened to her whilst her husband was forced to watch, it must have been terrifying for them both yet they have come through it and today are the best of friends. Fran’s Cancer Shmanzer campaign has saved so many lives in drawing attention to women’s health; she told her story warts and all where not many would do so and I’ll end where I started… she’s an Incredible Woman. ❤
