NYC was "better" in the 1970s because Times Square hadn't been turned into a Disney Store; it was easier not to have a lot of money & live in a kind of genteel poverty; Brooklyn hadn't been gentrified & price hiked to death with $18 artisanal pints of beer & $25 bars of milk chocolate, etc.... Shall I go on? Boston was much more user friendly 25 years ago than it is today. This has nothing to do with being 25 years old.
