They survive by eating the bush they’re hiding in and by drinking the blood of worms. If they are going to be hiding for any length of time then the bush has to be quite big and positioned near a dung heap for a ready supply of worms. Obviously there’s a couple of draw backs with this but as it’s a French idea they don’t have to worry about it until it’s too late kinda like short arse done when he told his starving troops to eat their boots and then have them walk home bare foot from Moscow in the middle of winter. Staying put in the bush is a common standard nowadays for highly trained unit. Heck, in SEA they are needed to stay put in the swamp. G20 meeting in Bali has units hiding in the swamp for days. So this French unit is not a game changer. And Russia is also using drone, the hiding French unit will be spotted. French is just throwing their best men to the death zone. Of course, as a soldier they are used to it.
