[#FranceRelance #Agriculture] This Saturday, May 8, the regional prefect visited the shared garden of the "GALLARD DOUBOUT" association in Saint-Claude.
🌱The president of the association thus presented the "Dé men pou Jaden" project to the prefect, which is one of the 8 winners from Guadeloupe of the #FranceRelance call for projects "Shared or collective gardens".
➡️ “Dé men pou Jaden” is the extension of actions initiated since 2018. Agroecology model, space for experimentation and education, this shared garden allows the members of the association and the general public to provide solutions for cultivating healthy products in a
area affected by #chlordecone.
📌 In January, the Food, Agriculture and Forestry Department (DAAF) of Guadeloupe launched a call for projects to support shared gardens and urban agriculture, as part of the France relaunch plan. The selection committee, meeting last March, distinguished 8 applications among the 40 projects submitted.
