Franchi Affinity Elite Cerakote Flaking Off!

Had same issue, send it and and after refinish I talked to them on the phone and they said the warranty coating they do is way better than factory, he said it was poorly prepped before coating first time. My advice to anyone is get regular camo or black to avoid this problem

I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and it already looks like that, sending it in this week.

I just got mine home and pulled out of plastic and it already has a scratch across the top. And I thought it was grease but wiping it down it’s a actual scratch already. Dang. If that’s how it’s going to be with Franchi this will be the last product from them. I hope mine doesn’t look like yours shortly.

Had the exact same thing with the MC312 ,FIRST DAY THE Cerakote FINISH JUST CHIPS OFF.

That should not be happening! Looks like the base metal where the solid cerakote is has not been prepped properly. Or like you said, there was oil or something that had contaminated it. Been doing cerakote for 10 years. Crappy work gives it a bad name. Done plenty of waterfowl shotguns and that is shoddy work.

Hey there I have the same gun and have the same problem just not as severe. Just wondering how the turn around time on the warranty claim is. For any one looking to buy the gun- they are amazing guns and kill tons of ducks, so far more reliable than the old 870

I have not got it back yet but it is being covered under warranty and is getting recerakoted. I’ll post a video update when I get it in and show how they did.

It's not been cerakote propperly if the cerakote was coated there wouldn't be another colour under it
