The last segment about Magical Quest, it wouldn't be Capcom's decision to continue it, but Disney's. They probably had a contract to make a certain number of games. So if you want more, Disney would have to allow it.
@0Fyrebrand07 жыл бұрын
What's funny is that Capcom is technically back to making games for Disney, since they do the Marvel vs Capcom series, and Marvel got bought by Disney. It's a few steps away, of course, but I wonder if somehow Disney could be a bridge between Capcom, and Square Enix who handle the Kingdom Hearts series that has the actual "Disney" branded stuff. Square and Capcom are both Japanese companies who have worked together before, and both have represented the Disney brand excellently. I would LOVE to see a three-way partnership result in some crazy cross-over magic.

That series died twice due to them doing yearly releases eventually leading up to the hot release of Tony Hawk Ride and Shred after being upstaged by the Skate series, and Pro Skater 5 doing the same again with no expectations. Another interesting video, Game Sack! Some more Franchise Killers for you: 1) Command & Conquer - Red Alert 3 (PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360); 2) Command & Conquer 4 - Tiberian Twilight (PC); 3) Fighting Force 2 (PS/Dreamcast); 4) Heretic 2 (PC/Mac); 5) Gothic 4 (PC/Xbox 360/PS 3/PS 4); 6) Syndicate Wars (PC/PS); 7) Bubsy 3D (PS); 8) Soldier of Fortune - Payback (PC/Xbox 360/PS 3); 9) Silent Hill 4 - The Room (PS 2/Xbox/PC) (of course, that game didn’t actually kill the franchise, but after it - series went to hell. Or should I say to Silent Hill ;) ); 10) Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi’s Island (SNES) (again, not exactly the Franchise Killer, but I never heard about Super Mario World 3, after SMW 2. And I will be very happy, if SMW 3 would ever happen, and if it would have graphical style from SMW 1). P. S. : I want to give you three interesting ideas, Game Sack. 1) - First Idea - How about the episode or maybe even the series of episodes, where you will tell us about games, that didn’t kill any franchises, but on the contrarily, made franchises worldwide famous, for example - Final Fantasy VII (PS/PC) or Doom 2 (Various Platforms). You can call it - «And they waked up famous» or something like that. :)) 2) - Second Idea - You can tell us about games, that didn’t kill any franchises, but were the last in the franchises and they weren’t bad, as most Franchise Killers, for example - Croc 2 (PS/PC) or The Suffering: Ties that Bind (PS 2/Xbox/PC). You can call it - «Last man standing», or «Not good, not bad, but dead», or something like that. :)) 3) - Third Idea - You can tell us about games, that didn’t kill any franchises, but instead broke them. After these games everything in the series went wrong, for example - Silent Hill 4 (PS 2/Xbox/PC) or Heroes of Might and Magic IV (PC/Mac). You can call it - «I know, something went wrong», or something like that. :)) P. S. S. : I’m totally agree with you on Castlevania - Lords of Shadow. It wasn’t a bad game, but it also wasn’t the Castlevania game in many aspects. Especially in the music aspect.

I know the games you discuss are on the episodes list, but this would be way faster. Also, some other episode ideas: -Another 'Worst of the worst' episode (a lot of bad games to choose from) --'Addicting Games' -More personal episodes: 'Games that Got Us Through Hard Times' or 'Games that Make you Lose Friends' -'Games for Short bursts' -More reviews of Emulator handhelds like Dingoo A380 -'Hardest/Easiest Final Bosses' -'Stupidest/Smartest AI' -'Ancient Games' (Atari, Colecovision, etc.) -'Sports Games that Aren't really Sports' Sorry if I got carried away, it was better than studying the Microbiology I should be studying. :)

You know, I really enjoyed Dino Crisis 2. I think I played through that game a dozen times. Score was used as currency and you could keep your items and guns from previous games (along with their mods) and really tear through a more difficult version of the main game. At the end you were scored and I think that gave you something to use for later playthroughs. First and foremost, it was a game about player knowledge and skill. Being able to do counters and dodge enemy attacks was paramount to get a good score.

Here's a combination Left in Japan + Franchise Killer: Jumping Flash! Remember Jumping Flash? I loved the first two games on PS1, but those are the ONLY two games in the series that we ever saw in English. Japan got two more, but they... weren't exactly good. "Robbit Mon Dieu" changed up the formula -- and instead of fast-paced, frenetic action, you were now playing as Robbit AFTER he'd saved the world... being a good samaritan by doing menial chores for people. Like using your giant rabbit-shaped mech that can jump 30 stories in the air to rid someone's garden of moles, or catch someone's stray laundry that blew off the line and is fluttering around in the wind. Each task you're given is usually completed within 1 minute (sometimes as little as 10 seconds!), and then you have to go through load times, evaluations and scoring, story dialogue, etc. before you get to take on the next task. You actually spend more time reading dialogue or waiting for scenes to load than you do playing. It's not without its slight charms, as some of the characters in the storyline are pretty funny and well-written, but it is decidedly NOT Jumping Flash. The fourth and final game, then, was a PocketStation exclusive (yes, PocketStation!) called "Pocket MuuMuu." And then... that was it. AFAIK, Sony owns this franchise, and... I mean, can you imagine how awesome a new Jumping Flash game would be in HD? But sadly, the franchise peaked with the last game we saw in English, and then quickly fizzled out. RIP, Jumping Flash. We hardly knew ye.

Oh I know about Jumping Flash. I've talked about them with Robbit Mon Dieu in our "Left in Japan 8" episode. That game would be amazing if they made a new one on PS4. Or maybe on PSVR......although I have yet to try out the VR.

I have a feeling a VR Jumping Flash would just introduce the world to far more vomit than it currently sports. ;)

Get a modified Vita so you can capture video directly from it, instead of being limited by the PS TV.

A jailbroke ps tv will also all vita games even if they are only for vita. Plus you can play downloaded games you own already for quick play and preservation of your physical copies.

L.A. Rush took a realistic turn from the arcadey styles of San Francisco Rush, Rush 2, and San Francisco Rush 2049. There hasn't been another Rush game since 2005.

Damn I didn't know Magical Quest had 2 sequels. Let alone that hey were good! I rented the first game back when I was a kid (and I couldn't remember the exact name of the game until now, it's when I saw Mickey jump over the the big rolling tomatoes and his costume changes in this episode's capture that I made the connection, Thanks for the huge flashback btw, lol). I remember liking the game quite a bit, I should replay it, and give the sequels a try! Thanks Game Sack.

Malkav The Mad Dude, it didn’t come out all that long ago. Bioware hasn’t even had a chance to announce anything else. Not nearly enough time has past for anyone to say that Mass Effect or Bioware are dead. Sure, Andromeda was bad, but it hasn’t even been a year since it was released.

I don't recall the games ever straight up saying Kazooie is female but in the text when talking to/about Kazooie they use her/she. So I guess for the games time thats enough to class her as female.

For me, CASTLEVANIA: Lamment of Inocence is THE BEST CASTLEVANIA 3D. Amazing atmosphere and soundtrack. The combat is very effective when you get used to. Send a HI to Brazil, Game Sack! We love the Show!
