Man it is so fulfilling to hear the Gospel preached by someone who puts the Gospel first.. No fancy leather jackets or skinny jeans and just the word. No latest trends or lingo. Just the word. All praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Blessings to Francis and his family.

I can't comment on this video because it would take pages upon pages. This is the best sermon on real discipleship I have ever seen. I will watch over and over with others. Edit: I left out powerful.....like a spiritual nuking! This is #1 after one understands the gospel.

Leonardokite I so agree with you! There is so much deception in the church today and there is a different message being preached ,not the true gospel. Praise the Lord for this timely message.

This word made my spirit want to cry out for me and for all of us. He said my biggest fear is that you will believe you are going to heaven and you aren’t. He begged us to start by just reading the red letters. Read what Jesus spoke but we’d rather depend on hearing it from another. This stuck out to me because I have to be real with myself and open my eyes before it is too late. Help me Lord and forgive me. Thank you for this word that I was able to see me and not continue to live deceptively. In Jesus Name Amen.

Points: - do the things which are unpopular - gave his life, lay out life for it - give up acceptance of people - be transformed by the renewing of your mind - dual citizenry - allegiance to God - worry about Him - do your best and lay the rest to Him - heaven/hell and standing before God - many who will think they are followers and be deceived - turning from what I want to do what God wants - u turn - people begging Jesus to follow, you sure - if anyone wants to follow, putting Jesus, put aside, family, life - calculate the cost - the immense weight - think through - going to go against the world - salt, war - salt without flavour- all in or not- halfway people - tougher in the West - pile of.... - salt withour saltiness: neither in or out - do we have to - deepest love - wanting Him more than relationships, money, possessions - no longer I who live now Jesus who lives in me

Great message!! Following Jesus will cost you and could even cost our very life. Hebrews 12:4. For new believers, the stretch and difficulty of the journey ahead need not be painted though, just like Jesus did not tell Peter and the disciples all the suffering awaiting them as they decided to follow him. This could have discouraged them from the very beginning. Their hope in following was that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and surely they would be part of the new government by the time he frees them from Roman government. Jesus knew this was their hope and intentionally did not address it. Neither should we also paint the picture that the victorious life we will have here on earth is going to be without some suffering and challenges because that isn't true. However, why would one believe that Jesus can offer a great life after this life, when one cannot have any evidence of it now? Jesus offers us that evidence by the great victories we experience everyday over sickness, poverty, oppression, seduction, freedom etc. He said believe me for the very works I do.John10:38. The new believer by the nuture of the Word and the Holy spirit would realize that the promise and weight of the glory of the future is far beyond the present temporary hardship and suffering that we face even in our victory in Christ. For the old believer like some of us, he must be confronted with the truth: following Jesus could cost one his life!

I love that he's preaching the true gospel in a church named Abundant Life Christian Fellowship where they advertise "singles fellowship events" that charge $15 if you don't bring a potluck dish. 😂 Acts of the Apostles 4:32‭-‬37: All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need. For instance, there was Joseph, the one the apostles nicknamed Barnabas (which means “Son of Encouragement”). He was from the tribe of Levi and came from the island of Cyprus. He sold a field he owned and brought the money to the apostles.

HAHAHA! the squeekiness and cracking in your voice when you get enthusiastic just cracks me up. i left MY church cause GOD pulled me out of it to go somewhere else. delivered me from persecution of my own father. i'm an emotional empath and i get judged for it. the holy spirit is WARMTH and LOVE. the lord is taking away EVERYTHING that i can follow him because i asked him to. i serve JESUS, not the church. there is a cost! he wants everything. amen jesus loves me soooo much X') he's done so much for me. i would give my life for him. i would die for him. the best love i've ever known. it's so worth it to follow jesus and leave EVERYTHING he wants you to leave, behind. growing from a babe in christ but i'd give everything for him for all he's done. how could i not when he saved my life?

Are we willing to pay the cost to march up the hill carrying the cross with Jesus, to become sheep among wolves, to calculate the cost of completing the tower? So let's say, yes! Can we then still put on the armour of God? Including bringing the sword? Does this mean we can arm ourselves for today's warfare and defend ourselves? Or must we rely solely on the Shepherd?

Simply believe. Chan is a liar and an accused of the brethren. He isn’t concerned that some people in the congregation may not be saved… if he was he would simply tell them the gospel, but instead he uses emotions and fear and guilt and shame to tell people that they must be “a disciple” in order to be saved.

Wasn’t the great King David from the lineage of Jesus Christ an adulterer and murderer? That doesn’t mean God wouldn’t use him or love him any less. That_Guy89 x and just like they great bible characters so may people think of them as, were punished for their human desires because they were just like us, no greater than the next human, it was God that made them great. And it will be God who will judge Martin Luther King Jr. For his own sins. Thank you for backing me up. A lot of people need to see God’s mercy and the bright side rather than the bad things people do. And vice versa for those who try to take advantage of God’s mercy and forgiveness and keep repeating their sins.

The cost of discipleship is losing your soul. Modern evangelical discipleship is unbiblical and sinful. The likes of Francis Chan and David Platt spent 10 years shaming their followers into doubting whether they were even saved unless they collected followers for them. They have now gone on to become the worst types of men anyone could follow. Sheep that follow a man will fall off a cliff without the Shepherd. Blind guides are leading a flock far from the Shepherd. Defect or perish. 🙏
