Not really. There are so many things wrong with his statements. I don't think his Ipad is going to play skyrim on it. And the Nvidia Shield/ other gaming tablets only stream they don't actually play games, except for a few games on the android app store. I'll admit the commerical is silly though, but the part about going out with friends with it is totally something I'd be up for. And they could have chosen a better game to play for the basketball one, like people taking a break and then playing something like oh a racing game? But otherwise the system seems like it will be alot of fun.

my bet is the dock has extra hardware built in to give it home console performance while the tablet has mobile-level hardware and scales games back to run on it. and seeing as how it probably uses nvidia's new pascal architecture, it has an edge over most mobile hardware up to this point. pascal is way less power hungry and runs cooler, granted no way itll have the same performance a desktop pascal card would.

Pedro Bretones not really. some patents leaked a while back showing expandable hardware capabilities, detachable controllers and a controller with a screen. nintendo has found creative ways to expand hardware capabilities in the past. they used to put extra ram in the game catridges of certain games that needed it back in the day. its exactly the sort of thing theyde do. nvidia has also been confirmed to be the company behind the hardware. their site even says they put the same tech (pascal) they put into their new 10 series cards into the Switch's hardware. as for scaling games back, it doesnt take any extra processing power to simply render something at a lower resolution. the wii u does it with the gamepad and emulators change render resolution all the time, sometimes with improved performance. true alot of what i have said hasnt been confirmed, but its far from an assumption. theres information and proof of concepts out there that make everything i said viable.

I actually really love that it's "just a tablet." Frankly nintendo has been too cutetsy the last couple of generations. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the Wii & Wii U for what they were. But I kind of want to go back to normal gaming from Nintendo. The way I see it, the Tablet just gives you the option to play on the go. I doubt I'll ever be using that feature, but at least it's an optional feature. It's not some gimmick like wii waggle controls. I don't get why you don't see this Francis. I bet Boogie gets it.

Slime and Pixelton A PC is definitely the best choice for having access to the widest variety of games and also the highest quality graphics. Personally, I really like Nintendo's games, so I stick with their consoles. It would be great if the base price for the Nintendo Switch turned out to be only $300. It might be best for Nintendo to offer various bundles, from basic to deluxe.
